Six days old Forster's Tern chicks decided to go to an adventure by crossing a massive 30ft open water from their base on tiny island to the main land. Obviously parents were not happy at all for this. However, this episode had a happy end.
It's not too hard to find your way to the Bay--just follow the fence line and watch out for ticks in that tall grass.

I worked for years as a chef, and there was always something about the end of shift that was satisfying. Dishes done, pots clean, floors scrubbed, umbrellas fastened down--tomorrow's another day. I don't find the same satisfaction in the corporate world, where I return to the same ole headaches day after day. But I ain't complaining. I'm blessed to still be working at my age.
