Dokdo is administrated by the South Korean government currently, but is claimed by both Japan and South Korea. There may be gas reserves underneath, and it would extend one or the other country's territorial waters...but really, it's a couple of rocks.
We bought 3 bulgogi/kalbi grills, Korean-style utensils, bowls, soju, among other things. Total: 98,000 wons. Using MasterCard with your mother in Korea, priceless. There are some things money can't buy, but for everything else, there is MasterCard.
