Where duality becomes unity, Sensation Amsterdam 2016 is back in the Dutch capital with a brand new show: Angels and Demons.
Fresh after celebrating its 15th birthday last year, the night will break with convention for the first time, and introduce a black dress code alongside its traditionally white one.
Promising a night of contradictions, Sensation Amsterdam 2016 angels and demons will party to house and trance classics spun by some of this planet's finest names.
Packed full of unrivalled creativity, Sensation has become not just a musical event, but a musical experience.
About the artist:
Sam Feldt
Dutchman Sam Feldt has become quite the tastemaker of his day. After working behind the scenes as a producer for a long time, he decided to show the world what he was capable of by uploading his first tunes by the end of summer ‘13. Within a year, Sam signed with Spinnin’ Records and released his first track. With amazing remixes, as well as solid hits like the early 2015 release 'Show Me Love', which proved to be his definite claim to fame, he's one of the DJs to watch when it comes to a new sound flooding the scene. His sound is characterized by beautifully built melodies, loads of atmosphere, and emotion packed in a tantalizing, often laidback groove.
Mr.White
It isn’t Sensation Amsterdam 2016 without the legendary Mr. White. This pale-faced resident DJ has mastered the craft on how to set the perfect party atmosphere through his subtle house vibes and tech-house grooves. He’s been traveling the world alongside Sensation for several years now, rocking one dance floor at a time on a global scale. Mr. White is not only a dance music icon, he’s an essential ingredient for every Sensation show.
YAX.X
Making his debut appearance at Sensation Amsterdam 2016, please welcome up and coming talent Youri Alexander aka YAX.X. Creator of the anthem for this year’s Sensation Amsterdam ‘Angels & Demons’ show, which illustrates his music and production skills. YAX.X cut his teeth with vinyl from the age of fourteen playing hip-hop, house, and electro. His insatiable desire to spin records saw him play in just about every venue in Amsterdam, where he crafted an art for reading a dance floor and delivering the goods. As his musical direction evolved, he found himself playing house, but he still maintains a sharp ear for a groove or hook that entertains the floor. In the last year, YAX.X has taken his first steps into the European DJ circuit with debut gigs in Barcelona, Valencia, Belgium, as well as Ibiza with gigs at Pacha, Privilege, and Blue Marlin.
Robin Schulz
His 2014 breakthrough single and the multiplatinum certified #1 remix of “Waves (feat. Mr. Probz)” was a first sign of things to come for Robin Schulz. His internationally gold and platinum-certified follow-up single ‘Prayer in C’ featuring Lilly Wood & The Prick went on to become a global hit with Schulz as the first ever German artist to reach the #1 spot in the global Shazam charts. Subsequently ‘Prayer in C’ was officially named the ‘Summer Hit of 2014’ - and rightfully so. Robin Schulz has created his very own, genre-transcending and highly recognizable sound: deep house with organic instruments, always accompanied by a certain melody.
David Guetta
The well-known French DJ/Producer and remixer, David Guetta joins us once again for Sensation Amsterdam 2016. David Guetta has played a pivotal role in turning dance music into the chart-topping juggernaut it is today. With seven successful albums, he is one of the world’s top DJs. It was in 2009 that Guetta became a pop trailblazer. Fusing dance music with urban sounds on his fourth album ‘One Love’, and by teaming up with some of the biggest names in hip-hop and R&B. Guetta reinvented his sound for the dance floor, thus creating pop alchemy. Ensuing hits such as ‘I Gotta Feeling’ with The Black Eyed Peas, ‘When Love Takes Over’ with Kelly Rowland, and ‘Sexy Bitch’ with Akon - propelled him into superstardom. He recently released his album ‘Listen Again’ to promote his previous songs including new singles ‘Sun Goes Down’, ‘Pelican’, ‘The Death of EDM’, "Clap Your Hands", and a new version of "Bang My Head".
Nicky Romero
Dutch DJ/Producer and Sensation super fan, Nicky Romero has managed to build nothing short of a remarkable musical empire. World renowned for his countless chart-topping records and electrifying energy in front of hundreds of thousands of people on the world’s most distinguished stages. Nicky Romero is now most widely appreciated for his worldwide hit ‘Legacy’ with Krewella as well as solo singles including ‘Symphonica’ and ‘Toulouse’. His #1 UK collaboration with Avicii ‘I Could Be the One’, smash hit ‘Feet on the Ground’ featuring Dutch superstar Anouk, and most recently ‘Let Me Feel’ which is a collaboration with Dutch duo Vicetone for his Protocol Recordings imprint all contribute to his rising success. With additional remixes for Zedd, Calvin Harris, and many more, Romero has also produced music for Rihanna ‘Right Now’, as well as two tracks for Britney Spears.
Don Diablo
For the first time at Sensation Amsterdam 2016, Dutch DJ/Producer Don Diablo will be make his debut at Sensation Amsterdam. Don was born and raised in Holland, and is currently working on expanding his discography within his global touring schedule. He is a highly sought-after remixer, adding artists such as Madonna, Ed Sheeran, Rudimental, Birdy, and many others to his portfolio. In his Amsterdam based studio, he has collaborated and produced with artists like Kelis, Alex Clare, Example, Diplo and Tiësto - just to name a few. In October 2015, during the annual DJ Mag Top 100 Awards, Don was awarded with the "highest climber of the year" prize, moving him up 52 places in the list from #82 to #30.
Yellow Claw
What started as a way of exploring the gap between hip-hop and electronic dance music turned out to be a successful concept. At the Jimmy Woo nightclub in Amsterdam, Yellow Claw evolved into one of the most surprisingly refreshing DJ projects the world has seen in a while. The legendary DJ trio hailing from Amsterdam has a sound that crosses multiple boundaries and seamlessly mixes up genres. 2015 turned out to be a very successful year for these three with a global festival circuit spanning across the world. In November, they delivered a sharp sounding full-length album 'Blood For Mercy' on Mad Decent, which was followed by a massive US tour. The release, which features world famous guest appearances, has been internationally taking over album charts.

Specialist car builder Jensen created a sensation when they launched the Interceptor at the 1966 London Motor Show. The aggressively styled car with body built by Vignale of Turin was powered by a potent Chrysler V8 engine. Other than a few with manual gearboxes, most were equipped with Chrysler’s Torqueflite automatic transmission. The Jensen Interceptor, and its four-wheel drive derivative the FF, were aimed at the luxury car market.
From the 1930s, Jensen Motors supplied car bodies for many of the larger manufacturers as well as building a range of commercial vehicle chassis. In the 1950s and 1960s the company established a reputation as a builder of sporty GT cars such as the 541 and C-V8. The Interceptor built on this tradition. Jensen survived until 1976, eventually succumbing to financial difficulties in the aftermath of the oil crisis.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Back when I acquired this fashion pack boxed at the flea market, there weren't nearly as many Barbie identification websites online. Anytime I'd find a sealed fashion, I'd save the back of the card so I had the pictures for reference. Although the late 90s and onward are still not well documented on the internet, the earlier part of the decade is. So I ended up getting rid of/recycling the back of the fashion packs I'd saved some years ago (sometimes the images made great backdrop components). I currently have three of the four Sun Sensation Barbie outfits. This was the only one I found still sealed in its package to date though.

The purpose of bonfire nights and the similarities between firework designs deliver an overwhelming message to display fireworks at different locations across England.
The technology of long-time exposure captures the momentary and timescale that disappears and turns the now into our history, making it memorable, readable, and appreciated by the audience.
The beauty of fireworks flashes in front of the naked eyes for a momentary sensation. The sound of fireworks brings excitement, adding to the majestic notion of a large fireworks display.
The fireworks share temporary beauty, lighting up the night sky and illuminating the blackness with colours. The audience temporarily forgets the past and the future but concentrates on the moment of now, witnessing every second to come and pass, remembering and video-capturing the valuable seconds of fireworks that won't reappear again.
How many seconds of the colour of darkness do we choose to concentrate on and remember? How many seconds of beauty flash in front of us to remind ourselves of the beauty that may fade away if we choose to forget, leaving the sky in the darknessTechnological advancements capture moments of beauty that last forever in the image. Each line of beauty represents the memory of time and seconds we have witnessed, exciting our sensation from the now to the past before becoming the moment of history. The pictures illuminate the night with light and bea, forever transforming the darkness with colours and joy.
The current photograph has been manipulated/uses the mirror effect to expand the possibilities of imagination. The new testing perspective may allow the audience to view a picture drawn by time scale with new but odd visual sensation, that the reality can be captured but extended to new conceptions through human creativities.

My new twins Barbie Sun Sensation. I've been searching for this girl for a long time. There are 3 versions (China, Malasya and Indonesia) and they're very different. In fact, those two are from Malasya and they have different make-up and skin tone.
I wanted the Malasya one with golden skin and soft expression, but she wasn't in great condition in ebay. The same seller had another malasya ver., so I purchased both. In the end, I'll keep the one with the earrings for sure, and I'll think about to keep or sell the other one
I love how "typical Barbie" she is, with golden locks, golden outfit and lots of brightness.

This was the first pass I encountered on my way out of Lhasa. I crashed about 10 times driving up to the pass. The sun was already setting once I had crossed over to the other side. Without the sun it became bitterly cold so that after some time I started to lose all sensation in my lower legs and had to stop to set up camp in the snow at 4800 m. Warming up my feet was extremely painful but I survived the night with all the clothes on that I had with me.
