Rhinoceros: since 1973 the population has recovered well and increased to 544 animals around the turn of the century. To ensure the survival of the endangered species in case of epidemics animals are translocated annually from Chitwan to the Bardia National Park and the Sukla Phanta Wildlife Reserve since 1986. However, the population has repeatedly been jeopardized by poaching: in 2002 alone, poachers killed 37 individuals in order to saw off and sell their valuable horns.[6] Chitwan has the largest population of Indian rhinoceros in Nepal, estimated at 605 individuals out of 645 in total in the country.
Der Park ist bekannt für die Population des Panzernashorns, die bis zur Jahrtausendwende auf 544 Tiere und bis zum Frühjahr 2015 auf 645 Nashörner[6] angewachsen war. Seit 1986 werden alljährlich Tiere von Chitwan in den Bardia-Nationalpark und in das Suklaphanta-Wildreservat übersiedelt. Die Population war aber immer wieder durch Wilderei stark gefährdet: allein im Jahre 2002 haben Wilderer 37 Tiere grausam getötet, um das kostbare Horn absägen und verkaufen zu können. Die letzte Zählung im Jahr 2011 ergab insgesamt 503 Nashörner im Park, im selben Zeitraum starben zwei Tiere durch Wilderer. Bei der Zählung im Frühjahr 2015 wurden 645 Tiere in Nepal gefunden[6], davon 605 im Chitwan-Nationalpark[8], während gleichzeitig in den letzten drei Jahren kein Tier durch Wilderer ums Leben kam.

I may not have to venture far for colors in the near future... like to Lowes or Home Depot, hahaha..... as I'm starting to see signs of Spring in my own back yard. These are crocuses that have come up in my flowerbed. They're really yellow, but I had fun "tweaking" them and this was the final result. Hope you like it.

Situated just downstream from the London Apprentice. The Town Wharf is situated right on the river and the Thames Path actually passes right through the pub. A two-storey Sam Smith's pub built to resemble a Swiss chalet. It's unbranded and also un-signposted from the main road, hidden away at the end of a quiet side street in an area of new build offices and apartments. The outside decking affords a view of Isleworth Ait (a teardrop shaped island) in the middle of the River Thames. As part of the Samuel Smiths chain, the pub only sells its own brand of beer which is suprisingly cheap. No real ale, handpumps removed. Sam Smiths Old Brewery Bitter available but no longer on hand pull. NB. The pub is a 'mobile free zone', phones, iPads etc are NOT permitted!

Two main Albums are located on the crossing of boulevard Saint Germain and boulevard Saint Jacques. Who's already around Latin Quarter and fountain St-Michel, will find them easily. One of them - Album Comics - sells American stuff, all the new Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and indie books, but also the most important French releases. Shop's windows are covered with statues, busts and vinyl toys. There's also very good artbook section, with all the making-of movie books, sketchbooks, artist artbooks and US and Asian picture books. Artbooks in general tend to be heavy and imported ones are not cheap, so it's possibly the best idea just to browse and remember all the cool stuff. And then to go home and get them from the net, without the need to drag them around the airports and planes. (From the shop's viewpoint it's not a nice thing to say, I know
