It seems early to me for Cormorants to begin nesting, but they are. Taken at Green Cay where both the Anhinga and Double-crested Cormorants have begin building their nests.

We seem to be in run of wild windy wet days . They always bring unexpected opportunities if you take a risk. I do love charging skies. How wild the wind blows is by the Unthanks.

Lightroom seems to have improved processing of images from Quad Bayer sensors now like the 48MP one in the Honor 20 Pro. This means no more downscaling of images because else strange pattern where visible.

This image here is a sample of Piran in Slovenia.

The birch trees seem to be the queens of the forest, especially in spring. Fresh greens attract the looks and the photographers:-). They do keep the serenity and the stillness and invite us to contemplate the view.

A pano from my favorite birch land, 6 shots without tripod.

Thank you for all the comments and favs, my friends.

Thanks for taking the time to drop by! ❤️

We seem to have a better tomato harvest this year than usual. I suppose this is due to the fact that Fynn spends a lot of time watching the tomatoes grow. They probably feel under pressure to do their best. :)

White can seem pretty dull if you need

Lots of colors in your life like in

Lots of action

Lots of people around you

Lots of Inspiration

Missing parts of you, that you are not whole, not happy, don't have the love you are worthy of

Or

Maybe you have

Lots of thoughts in your head you don't want to deal with

Fatigue towards life

Colors add certain things to our life and we instinctly listen, I think. What color to wear today, what color will we have in our livingroom and not to mention our bedroom.

We know deep down that colors do us good, but we might not know that we actually use them, with our consiousness.

Maybe we should try to get some knowledge, actively use the colors.

Then you might see that white is "The Color"

It gives you

peace

tranquility

exquisite light

hope

cool you down

dreams

Inspiration

Your brain will calm down, find its place, where solutions will come forward and you will get closer to yourself.

White is definitely underrated, I bet you agree too - and you have probably not been giving this a thought before, hehe.

Me neither, lol.

Me funny, yes.

Happy Smile on Saturday you guys!!

It seem that the construction on this complicated intersection seem to be going for years. Probably not yet Guinness World record, but it's highly annoying. I pass here weekly, and there seems to be little progress and hardly anyone is working. One thing which disappeared is overhead wire mesh. At this intersection several street car routes meet and there is also TTC garage and maintenance depot. Here were probably most of overhead wires in the whole city in one spot.

Vintage trucks seem to be a popular decor choice. Hobby Lobby and Target always have these little tin trucks decorated for every holiday (red for Christmas with a tree in the back, orange and black with cobwebs for Halloween... you get the picture!)

Out in the country, though, they are popular as lawn ornaments. Why buy some cheap replica painted green with shamrocks when you can have a real Chevy C50 in your front yard! This person has the right idea.

... another one from the protests against the presidential election last Friday, and the sign seems ominously true with all that is going on now. ... I've been to more protests and marches this past week than ever before. Thank you all for your comments and concern, I am doing fine so far!

You can look up the information on the photo book by DC photographers documenting the inauguration and the protests around it:

"hey little apple blossom

what seems to be the problem

all the ones you tell your troubles

to they don't really care for you come

and tell me what you're thinking

cause just when the boat is sinking

a little light is blinking

and i will come and rescue you

lots of girls walk around in tears

but that's not for you you've been

looking all around for years for

someone to tell your troubles to

come and sit with me and talk awhile

let me see your pretty little smile

put your troubles in a little pile

and i will sort them out for you

i'll fall in love with you

i think i'll marry you"

Summer seems to take a break at the moment, it's much cooler now and windy with occasional rain. Fynn even decided that he needed his warm blanket again when he stayed on the terrace for a while. He wasn't very willing to pose for a photo, refused to look at me. Bunny behind him was more cooperative.

It seems that nobody remembered this British soldier killed in the First World War who was buried in the cemetery in my old town.

We seem to be on a sunset drought again - here is one of the better recent ones. I'll be off on a little flickr break for some family events and hopefully a little nature, too....

It seems I can't walk by/up/down stairs without photographing them. If you are a qualified therapist feel free to explain this strange proclivity. Even if you aren't qualified feel free to speculate. Please see the first comment box below for a 'few' more steps and stairs. Don't say I didn't warn you. :)

- Colares, Portugal -

There seems to be a lot of these Yellow Poppies (or Welsh Poppies) growing in the woods near Tom's Forest Quarry, they do make a pretty sight.

I seem to have accidentally spilled in the whole bottle of depression into the mix.

Enjoy a little colour in the midst of the spoopy season. It'll do you good, I swear it.

Nel mio dialetto, la parola ancarvarò indica un cielo pieno di nuvole in movimento, estremamente mutevole. E questo è il cielo tipico della primavera che, dopo il lungo inverno, sembra essere finalmente arrivata su queste colline.

In my dialect, the word ancarvarò indicates a sky full of moving clouds, extremely changeable. And this is the typical sky of spring which, after the long winter, seems to have finally arrived on these hills.

I seem to be so busy lately that I am not able to be on flickr as much as I would like so please forgive me if I don't get around to commenting some days!!

Thanks for your visits.

railroad tracks leading to Hirado, April 2019.

Seems to me now

That the dreams we had before

Are all gone, nothing more

Than confetti on the floor

It's the end of a decade

In another ten years time

Who can say what we'll find

What lies waiting down the line

Happy new year

Happy new year

May we all have a vision now and then

Of a world where every neighbour is a friend

Happy new year

Happy new year

These seem to be more frequent this season than in past years.

This seemed to be an ideal location for this Spotted Towhee to sing his heart out, or at least he thought so. Unfortunately for me, to get a decent shot I had to stand in a street (this is on a bridge). I kept asking him to move onto a sunny branch, but he refused.

There are people who speak ill of the fog of Milan. I don't know that of the other countries, but this in Milan is a great fog, nice, affectionate, friendly. Allow everything like a caress. And then it seems to me that the fog invites to intimacy, optimism, confidence.

It might not seem so, but this is a digital picture taken and retouched today.

It´s my brother, Diego, who has helped me as model to try to recreate the famous painting of the scream.

I hope you enjoy!

It seemed that every prairie sunflower at Hayden Prairie had a Forbe's tree cricket on it today. They were busy feeding on the sunflower pollen. These beautiful tree crickets show a lot of black color on their pale green bodies. Found in grassland habitats, they have lovely songs in the late afternoon now.

This photo seems voyeuristic for some reason.

It seems like Dalia has taken on a whole other form. The sunborn has had sleep, too much sleep, and darkness has taken over any light she once possessed. She is still Dalia, very much so, but she is far from the same. Until her source of light returns overtime, she is but a shadow in a realm of shining stars.

Seemed to be lost in thought...perhaps trying to recall the words to a Michael Martin Murphey cowboy song. It was something about Wildfire.

Even when life seems hard, always try to greet the sun with a smile.

I will not lie, I beamed when I saw that Kae was opening IASWAS, or' It All Starts With A Smile' again. If you are someone who has the patience to read through my blogrambles here, you will know that I enjoy finding pretty and inspiring places to sit, and take pictures as well as letting my imagination wander. I spent much time soaking up the wintery atmosphere in one of IASWAS's previous incarnations, letting it flow into pictures and writing.

When I made it over to the SIM to explore I wasn't disappointed. In fact, there was too much for me to see on just one visit. I was pleased to see advertisements there for music. A new thing is that there are rentals there too... what beautiful surroundings. They seem to be all taken at the moment though, if any of you were interested.

If ever you needed an extra reason to visit, they have a photographic competition running now too, with some excellent prizes Details here!

Olympic Marina is presided over by its twin towers (1992): The Mapfre Tower on the right and the Hotel Arts on the left. World famous Canadian architect, Frank Gehry, placed his fish sculpture at the foot of the hotel. It is 56 metres long and 35 metres high and seems to be longing to jump into the blue waters of the Mediterranean. Summarized from:

Seems quite angry

I seem to be getting a backlog of photos so to freshen up my feed I thought I'd post this shot from a few months ago.

This was on one of my regular evening trips to see the owls when I came across this gorgeous youngster.

Although the owls don't show there is always plenty of other wildlife about particularly in Spring when this shot was taken.

Many thanks to everyone who takes the time to view and fave my photos and in particular to those kind enough to comment. It is very much appreciated.

It seems only fitting to post a touch of green today. Happy St. Patrick's day everyone !!

Oh yeah, the tree in the way.....I wanted it there :)

While it seems every man and his dog were up the S&C again, I decided on a more local outing. Not being arsed to have a full day out and seeing 419 was allocated to this, there was really only one option in my opinion. Having done my local spots to death with this train and still not succeeding with the sun, I travelled further up the coast for a more scenic, picturesque view. St Bees is the location and running 46 minutes early, 37419 heads north with the usual monthly 1q47 Derby-Carlisle test train. 37423 was on the rear. Had it been on time it would've been touch and go with the sun as a bank of cloud had started to roll in by then.

Now thats just about every 37 nailed on this train, all I need now is 37425 in it's Regional Railway's livery to complete the set!!
