This ridge is just less than 2 inches wide and is a portion of a giant seed pod which I brought home from Jamaica a very long time ago. The actual seed pod is about 1 1/2 foot long and came from a big tree with beautiful red flowers. It broke in half during the flight and the closed portion still has seeds in them, I can hear them ratting about.

Thank you to Kitty Von Cat for the use of her sweet build!
An old farmers seed machine which has seen better days. Taken using an old Minolta MC 58mm f/1.4 and testing out how sharp the lens is wide open.
Put these seeds in your pocket, so when you fall, your body will fertilize the ground and sunflowers will grow in your place.
Here is another one of my squirrel friends at Monrepos. It was the first time I tried sunflower seeds for the squirrels because I thought they would be great for the birds too and I was quite amazed that the squirrels devoured the sunflower seeds, especially when I had just arrived and they were really very hungry. Later they took the usual hazelnuts and walnuts too.
I acquired a Contax Sonnar 85mm lens recently and the first adapter to hand to attach it to my X-T1 happened to be a version with helicoid for variable close focusing. This has converted the lens into a telephoto macro with surprisingly good results.
