I'm very happy to post about • Gallant Magazine - Summer Issue • today and share my second picture of the series with you! Taking and editing this picture was so much fun. I want to give a huge thank you to my special guest, friend and fellow platform-hermit Jarrgo aka lil Z(addy) for taking part in this! Taking pictures with you is always a blast ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°):･ﾟ✧
I was about to call this picture "First Date" but then I remembered that I had my first date waaay back already with Fire Extinguisher-chan. I guess this is my second date - featuring: A real person! What you say? You cannot date anyone else than Fire Extinguisher-chan? Hold on, stop right there and fear not! There is an explanation for all of this. After a romantic date of eating cereals together, I brought Fire Extinguisher-chan home. She didn't say anything but I felt a certain chemistry between us. Just as I was about to leave, I touched her cold metal handle, wishing her a good night. All of a sudden Fire extinguisher-chan exploded into a firework of fire extinguishing foam. I jumped back, protecting my eyes and as I lifted my glance again I saw a Zaddy standing in Fire Extinguisher-chan's place. He explained that he was cursed by an evil hoe and only the touch of someone who was foolish enough to fall for an Fire Extinguisher could reverse the spell. Can you imagine my face? You might wonder why it took almost an entire year to go on the second date? I mean, what would you feel like when your crush turns from a Fire Extinguisher into a Zaddy? But we decided to give this another try and went to eat ice cream instead of cereals this time.

Pictures of my current home in Second Life; I envisioned renting a furnished, perpetual, late summer retreat.
This young lady sat there for quite a while - reading and listening to music. Didn't have the heart to clone her out
I saw this VERY leaf hanging from its rustic lichen covered fence a few weeks ago, but passed it by without taking a pic. Another opportunity missed...or so I thought. I had completely forgotten about it. Until yesterday, that is. As luck would have it, there it was, this Giant Maple Leaf, its stem lodged in the fence, still hanging SO perfectly, and just BEGGING me not to pass it by again without snapping a pic.
Thankful for a second chance to photograph this beauty! 😊

Adding so many photos in one day is a shame, but I am very delayed on this thing and I would like to catch up with the ones from the last months, so I cant go into details with each photo working them as I would like or I would just have to completely stop doing other things in my life for a few months.. and after 4 or 5 photos I guess kind of tired of them...
One of my geraniums is full of flowers for the second time this year - a welcome splash of colour in Autumn. I usually shoot flowers in manual focus.
After being "trail failed" by this same set here at Culver earlier in the week I was happy to get a second chance today as 403 led Minntac loads south, nicely obscuring the trailing CN units. A perfect morning to chase this guy south, as Josh and Erik can attest.

More wabi-sabi, and another tulip. What I like here is the way the petals, the pistil and stamens, and the stem dance about in the frame, as well as the colors and textures. The result of a multi-image focus stack, this image should reward pretty close examination.
Maximum viewing size on your computer can be found by opening the image in a separate window, making that window maximum size, typing the letter "L" on the keyboard, and then clicking the cursor as long as a '+' appears in it, typically twice.

BTW, I've taken to putting a white rim around these images on black because, on my iPhone flickr app, it is otherwise difficult to discern the image's edges. I made it tiny because, while large mats look lovely on my desktop monitor, they make it hard for my tired old eyes to view an image on my iPhone's small screen.

Here's the sound that set the mood for me
On a rather unremarkable sunset, with an unusually high temperature for this time of year, 66°F or 19°C at 6:20 pm (today´s highest was around 75ºF or 24ºC in the capital), this is the view of the Five Towers from the northern part of Madrid.
A gradual decrease in temperatures is expected over the next few days, reaching more typical values for the second half of autumn.

Las Cinco Torres en el anochecer del miércoles, Madrid, España
En un atardecer no demasiado vistoso, con una temperatura anormalmente elevada para la fecha, de 19ºC a las 6:20 pm (la máxima hoy en la capital fue del alrededor de 24ºC), en uno de los primeros atardeceres antes de las 6:00 pm, esta es la vista de las Cinco Torres desde la zona norte de Madrid.
Los próximos días se espera un descenso paulatino de las temperaturas hasta llegar a valores más normales para la segunda mitad del Otoño.
