After Kate sees two of the Others following, the group shoots at the Others, killing one, but the other one gets away.
This is the time for watermelon and they are getting cheaper and cheaper and are easy to come by at least in my part of Shanghai. I like to buy from early morning sellers coming on tricycle, believing they have the freshest and the best, but I am not always right...
It can be kind of strange walking around the oceanfront during a cold day in the off season. I am more use to dodging little children, moms with armfuls of beach chairs and cooler pulling dads. Now its a hopeful seagull or two and the occasional dog walker.
In between a couple of assignments, I took a close look at some of the details within a block of the beach. When you can take the chance to actualy look around, there are some neat shapes, patterns and detail. See if you can guess where the shots are from.......

I was skimming some of the leaves off the koi pond this morning when I noticed that the dogwood that grows over the pond was exhibiting some strange behavior. Like most of the trees at this time the majority of the tree is leafless. Winter has unofficially begun and as I write this snow has begun to fall. One of the branches overhanging the pond waterfall has yellow leaves and the rest green. Not only that but the lowest branch is blooming as it would in spring! The koi pond must be retaining enough heat to confuse the lower branches of the tree that we are in a warmer season. It's not a great photo, but I thought it interesting enough to merit documentation.
t's only two seasons for the last, decade or two here in Greece. It's either winter, or summer...
Looks like the climate f**ck up we caused resulted in losing the other two seasons...
At least we still have winter, which is my favorite...
