A much photographed view of the Nicholas Hawksmoor designed towers of All Souls College. For this version I've 'corrected the verticals' in Photoshop.
In case anyone is wondering why this view is just about the only view you see of the building it's because it's not generally open to the public so can only be photographed through the ornate gateway on the Radcliffe Square.

From Wikipedia : "Every hundred years, and generally on 14 January, there is a commemorative feast after which the fellows parade around the college with flaming torches, singing the Mallard Song and led by a "Lord Mallard" who is carried in a chair, in search of a legendary mallard that supposedly flew out of the foundations of the college when it was being built. During the hunt the Lord Mallard is preceded by a man bearing a pole to which a mallard is tied – originally a live bird, latterly either dead (1901) or carved from wood (2001). The last mallard ceremony was in 2001 and the next is due in 2101.
The precise origin of the custom is not known, but it dates from at least 1632. A benign parody of this custom has been portrayed as the Unseen University's "Megapode chase" in Sir Terry Pratchett's 2009 novel Unseen Academicals."

Robots piloting bigger robots on a strange alien planet, that's the sauce!
So I started trying to build a more traditional Zoid dino but wasn't feeling it for some reason so it evolved/devolved into a more chunky toy thing. More along the lines of Starriors and Micronauts etc, real scruffy-looking. I got some more of those leg parts in blue and yellow as I want to so a couple version in different colourways, they should look cool together.

The Horde is feared across the galaxies for the vastness of its ranks but despite the strength of its numbers it still needs infrastructures to support the war efforts.
Infrastructures that can be sabotaged.
On one of the many war ravaged planets this is exactly the mission of an elite unit operating behind the lines. Small teams of operators are targeting the Horde’s assets in order to turn the tide of ongoing conflict.
This may not be their homeworld but they have an history with the Horde, one made with blood and never-ending battles, and they will bot falter in the fulfillment of their duty.
A part the sleeveless armor, which honestly does not make a lot of sense because if you spend money in making an armor make one that can fully protect you lol (arm wounds can reduce combat effectiveness too), they are badass soldiers.
The characters are Gears of War COG Soldiers action figures by Neca (one is a rarer gold version).

I planned to post another outdoor photo of my Starcraft Marine action figure but I run into some lighting issue so I decided to post this one instead :) I made some experimentation with blue and reddish/orange light in the same image :)

I processed this photograph in Adobe Lightroom using the Natural Colours Lightroom Preset / Queen Pack which is available to get from The Bell Sisters website.
The pelicans are enjoying the abundance of ale wives (small fish) and have settled in at Sheboygan, Wisconsin's North Point . We, the People, are enjoying the abundance of pelicans. This is their longest visit to this part of Lake Michigan in recent years, and never have the come in such numbers.

Hooded Mergansers....I didn't see them for the longest time then through the trees, reflections, branches etc..there he was...and I thought ,....yes the eye of a photographer....this is what we see...it made me laugh...and yet I loved what I saw...the beauty of nature... in its entirety.
Introduction
Using graffiti as a background is difficult. It draws attention from the subject with harsh lines, strong shape contrasts, and saturated colors. So, when the model wanted to go to Graffiti Alley in Cambridge, MA I knew it would be a challenging environment.
Process
In order to prevent the graffiti from "stealing the show" I took advantage of my Canon 24mm F/1.4L II, emphasizing the alley's architectural lines to create a strong center-radial composition. Instead of fighting the graffiti's shape it became a pattern on the sides of the rectangle that is the alley. To create contrast between the harsh geometric forms of the environment the model was posed organically. Her right side (viewer's left side) exhibits strong curves leading all the way around her head and into her hat.
In post-production, colors were found to be overpowering and had to be desaturated slightly. Dodging and burning was done around the profile of the model to subtly increase the subject's value contrast from the background. A modest tilt-shift blur was was used to remove the focus from the extreme left and right edges of the frame.
I promise you. We'll find 'em. Just as sure as the turnin' of the earth.

My entry for a fig-off against Simulterious and some others from the Factions community. The challenge was to do 3-4 figs that represent the classic trio of Fantasy archetypes: Fighter, Wizard, and Rogue. We could do one extra, but I just stuck with the trio (plus a handy droid).
