Here to Show The World
Dolph Ziggler is one of those superstars who you kind of feel deserves more, but when you see him with gold around his waist...it doesn't look like it suits. He's had some questionable storylines, and his influence is a little TOO obvious (as this figure does show) but he sells well and he put's on a great show. It's really tricky where to put him on the roster; he's not the greatest, but he's not the worst either. He's Dolph Ziggler, and unfortunately (in my opinion) that's all he will be. Despite his obvious love for Shaun Michaels (aesthetically), he does have some great figures, and this is one of them.
The Look
I cannot find an image of him wearing this attire anywhere. The back of the box says it's from February 2016, but Google will not show me the goods. Very odd. Regardless, it's pretty frickin awesome. The vest jacket (which is definitely the highlight of the figure) has a Harley Davidson type logo on the back ('DZ Crew') with a matching logo on the ass of his tights. The motif (of the entire get-up) is a very simple Black with Gold, Grey and red dots scattered all around. It sounds a little random but is pulled off really well. The real detail is back on his top. Not only are there Grey moulded chains, but they act like a fastener too. If you remove the chain going across his stomach, it allows you to remove the vest jacket. It's such a simple design, but it works really well.
Conclusion
His head scan feels a little off (but only a fraction, it's still clearly him) and the polka-dot design may seem a little random at first, but this is a really cool looking figure. Plenty of details (from his boots to his jacket) and it's definitely up there as one of the best designs ever released. Definitely worth picking up, even if you're not his biggest fan.
There Is No Place To Run!
At the 1990 Summerslam, The Ultimate Warrior took on Ravishing Rick Rude in a steel cage match. The winner would walk out as the WWF World Heavyweight Champion. Like most of the Warriors match-ups, it was a classic. This Hall of Fame figure is especially relevant as it is based upon his in ring attire from that event.
Combat Is Where We'll Be!
This was originally a single release & packaged with an accessory. The figure I have in hand bears no difference, it just simply does not come with the World Heavyweight Championship. The pros of getting a 2 pack with a ring slightly (& only just) outweigh the fact that they are minus accessories. If you are able to pick up the original release I highly recommend you do so. It's the only way you're going to be able to pick up that Blue strap title. And who doesn't want that in their collection?
One Of A Kind
Onto the Warrior himself. What can be said about this bonafide legend? he (along with Hulk Hogan and The Macho Man) defined the WWF in the 80s & early 90s. Everything about him was iconic. His entrance was intense, his promos could be compared to the ramblings of a mad man & his look was everything. He was one of a kind that was never to be replicated. With all that said, has Mattel done this figure justice?
The Look
You need not look any further than the head scan to know that this is a damn good figure. The team at Mattel has sculpted his intense and determined face to perfection. The war paint is crisp and surrounded with a thick Black border, giving the neon Yellow and Green extra intensity. Even his hair is layered in color and detail to give it that ultra realistic look. In fact, every color is as bright and bold as it should be. They went all out and pulled it off masterfully.
Conclusion
When speaking with a few collectors (one of whom has quite possibly the best Warrior collection ever) it's very apparent that this is the Ultimate Warriors best figure. The way in which Mattel represent him in this version is exactly how we all remember him. An absolute must for all figure collectors.

Raw Muscle
Professionally speaking, Dana Brooke is a fine example of bodybuilding dedication. There are lots of talented female wrestlers in the WWE, but none are built like Dana. Not since Beth Phoneix (and Chyna before her) has there been such physique on the Raw women's team. She's not afraid to take any anyone & things can only get better now that she's part of the 'Titus Brand'. This is her first time in figure form (with a new version hitting stores soon) so let's take a look at how it stacks up to the rest of Mattel's female figures.
The Look
For whatever reason, Mattel really struggles with female face sculpts. This isn't their worst (just look at the new Becky Lynch figure for that) but it's not exactly great either. The more I look at it the more I struggle to figure out what is wrong. They've nailed her big plump lips, and her hair is spot on (love the colour) but it's still not quite right. The only thing I can put it down to is maybe her cheekbones and nose? I don't know. It's an odd one, but as stated previously...there are worse.
Conclusion
Overall, it's a good figure. I much prefer the attire of her new release, but this still looks good. To have made it an exceptional release they should have given her a brand new sculpt. In reality, her body shape (especially her arms) is way bigger than this. I can see why they chose not to, but still...come on Mattel. Either way and despite the aforementioned new release, you should definitely still pick it up.

BRAAAAUUUUN!
What a journey this guy has had. Starting as the quiet monster of the Wyatt family, and ending up becoming THE most destructive force on the WWE roster today. It's not like the current roster is full of small dudes either. Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar are currently on Raw and Strowman could EASILY stand up to them. He's a fan favourite and one who has given us MANY amazing moments this past year. Did Mattel perfect his debut figure release? Well, let's take a look and see.
Monster among Men
This figure is part of Basic Series 64 (we're currently in Series 79!) and as you can imagine, a fair few releases of him have been and gone since. The most notable difference is his face. When this first came out it really did look spot on. It wasn't perfect, but it was a good resemblance. Years (& series) later, and BOY has it not aged well. He looks more like Hagrid than he does anything else. It's crazy! but, there are worse figures out there and he does pass...but only just. The rest of him, however, IS pitch perfect. I love the detail on his belt buckle (small things like that make all the difference) and his pants have been nailed too. It even has that weird black patch in the crotch area that makes him look like he was too late for the toilets. The tattoos are a little scratchy, but to be fair, so are his actual designs too.
Conclusion
Yes, there are definitely better/more up to date figures out there, but that doesn't mean this is terrible. It's a good sturdy chunky figure and it really does tower above the rest. If like me you only get 1 figure of each wrestler, then I'd I'd be tempted to go for a newer release. But if you want an army of Strowmans, or be able to look back at his evolution, then getting this is a must.
The Man
The things that could be written about this man would fill volumes and volumes of books. Not only has he had a legendary career but recently overcame ill health to tell us he 'ain't dead yet!'. At 68 years old he's accomplished more in his career than most wrestlers could even dream of. If you don't know him by now, you never will (it's also shocking to think that too. Shame on you). So let's sit back, soak in his greatness and see if Mattel has done him some justice in figure form.
The Look
Those of us familiar with Flair associate him with the Rolex, the sharp suit, shades, and of course...bejeweled robes. Surprisingly this figure has none of those features. Well, he is in a suit, but it's a more casual look as it centers around his time when he 'managed' Charlotte Flair. She had just come up to the main roster and still had a lot to learn. Who better to teach her the tricks of the trade? none other than the nature boy (and her father) Ric Flair. He did some questionable things in his time helping her (like snogging Becky Lynch!) and it didn't end well (with Charlotte pretty much getting rid of him by telling him exactly how she feels about him) but that's the joy and power of Ric Flair; he's entertaining and can tell a great and powerful story.
The Figure
I'm no ageist, but this face sculpt makes him look way younger than he was (at this time). It's more apparent when the picture of him on the packaging shows him looking older too. Mattel has managed to get an older face right before, so I'm a little unsure why they couldn't pull it off here. It's no major issue, just something to take into account. The suit jacket is a softer plastic and matches the rest of the suit (in color) perfectly (this may sound odd, but it's much trickier than you may think) the only 'problem' is that it 'puffs out' at the top. The shirt collar is so high up that he looks like a child wearing his dad's suit jacket. Again, not a massive issue, and i"m sure it can be adjusted with a bit of tinkering, but on first glance, it is very frustrating.
Conclusion
Overall, this is a solid figure. Yeah, it has some flaws, but if you're after an older Ric, this is the figure for you. As good as his Defining Moments figure is, it's of him in his ring attire. Purely based on personal preference, I find that a little odd. We want to see the legend age gracefully, and an older version of him (in a suit) in figure form, is the perfect way to get it.

Golden Boy
Looking back on his time in the WWE (2011 – present) he’s won a lot more gold than I first realized. IC title twice, USA title once, world heavyweight championship once, MITB once as well as being current tag team champion with his aforementioned brother, Seth Rollins. That’s a rather impressive achievement given the short time within the company. With that in mind, surely Mattel will knock the ball out of the park when it comes to replicating one of the WWE's biggest stars in figure form. Well, let’s take a look and see.
Basic Attire
Before I even took this figure out of the packaging, I knew it looked off. The sleeves (or at least lack there-of) just makes him look so…plastic. I know that sounds dumb given that he actually is, but his big rounded shoulders just look so…ridiculous. What makes it worse is when you realize that the t-shirt he’s wearing HAD sleeves. Yes, they were short, but not tank top short. I don’t know what Mattel was doing, but they really dropped the ball on this one. His lower half makes up for this though with a painted belt buckle and a nice shade of Jeans. Other than that, what more can be said?
Face Scan
The good thing about this is his face. Poor Dean has one of those faces that just don't come translate well to plastic. I know he has a habit of sticking his tongue out a lot, but it just doesn't look right (in figure form) Mattel also has trouble replicating his 'lunatic fringe' and beard. This one (though not perfect) is definitely his best yet. If any of you custom figure makers want to update your Ambrose, I would definitely go with using this head.
Conclusion
This is a pretty uninspiring release. It's generic looking, boring, and inaccurate. It doesn’t help that he wears jeans and a t-shirt to the ring, but Mattel could have at least made an accurate portrayal.
