We were up early for a Winter Bird Count and found that the moon had not yet set. This is a few days after the full moon (Snow Moon).
Winchester, Ontario, Canada. February 2022.
Mindful of the clocks going forward and weather clearing from the west I made the move locally to record Cappagh Group of companies liveried 60028 on the (SO) Ravenhead loaded sand.
Certainly an event when this charges through, highlighted here in premium light.
* The wooden fence line is the last vestiges of the steam era.

An early morning stock move from Carlisle Kingmoor to Burton behind work worn DRS 37716 was potentially worth photting this morning.
I was aware it was to be six 'coffins' but was not prepared for three of them being the 'scabbiest' I have ever encountered! Not sure why this move came about but I am sure somebody out there knows?

Door Corona en familieomstandigheden, waren we niet in staat om bij Plandampf in het Werratal te zijn. Maar na zoveel jaar kruipt het bloed toch waar het niet gaan kan. Daarom besloten mijn vader, mijn oudste zoon en ik in de meivakantie naar het voormalige Oost-Duitsland af te reizen om daar te genieten van smalspoor stoom.
Nadat we twee dagen de Zittauer Schmalspurbahn hadden bezocht, gingen we door naar Dresden. Daar werd als eerste op 2 mei de Lössnitzgrundbahn bezocht. Een spoorlijn waar we nog niet eerder geweest waren.
Due to Corona and family circumstances, we were unable to join Plandampf in the Werratal. But after so many years, the blood creeps where it can't go. That is why my father, my eldest son and I decided to travel to the former East Germany during the May holidays, to enjoy narrow-gauge steam.
After visiting the Zittau Narrow Gauge Railway for two days, we continued to Dresden. The Lössnitzgrundbahn was the first to be visited there on May 2. A railway line we had never been to before.
Aufgrund von Corona und familiären Umständen konnten wir leider nicht bei Plandampf im Werratal sein. Aber nach so vielen Jahren kriecht das Blut dahin, wo es nicht hin kann. Deshalb haben mein Vater, mein ältester Sohn und ich beschlossen, in den Maiferien in die ehemaligen DDR zu reisen, um Schmalspurdampf zu genießen.
Nach einem zweitägigen Besuch der Zittauer Schmalspurbahn ging es weiter nach Dresden. Als erstes wurde dort am 2. Mai die Lössnitzgrundbahn besichtigt. Eine Bahnstrecke, auf der wir noch nie zuvor waren.

Depuis mon enfance, le dessin a toujours été une passion, mais lorsque j'ai découvert la photographie, j'ai pensé que l'association de ces deux passions pourrait me permettre de laisser libre court à mon imagination.
Dans cette serie "L'esquisse d'une vie", j'ai voulu illustrer ma vie, comme si mes croquis avaient donné naissance à chacun de ses actes; soit par l'intervention de personne qui me sont proches (comme par exemple dans "sketch your mentor" avec l'intervention de ma grand mère qui m'a appris le dessin), ou encore des événements qui on été importants pour moi (comme dans "sketch the life" avec la naissance de ma fille "Cataleya"), mais également avec des choses un peu plus humoristique (dans "Catch & Sketch" par exemple avec l'intervention de mon ami Cal Redback, mais aussi "sketch and fight" avec un combat de deux artistes avec chacun sa technique)

In this series "The sketch of a life", I wanted to illustrate my life, like my sketches gave birth to each of his actions or by the intervention of someone I are close (for exemple in "sketch your mentor" with the intervention of my grandmother who taught me in the drawing), or events that have been important to me (like in "sketch the life" with the birth my daughter "Cataleya"), but also with something a little more humorous (in "Catch & Sketch" for example with the intervention of my friend Cal Redback, or in "sketch and fight" with a battle of two artists with each his technique)

We were on our way to St Moritz on a train via Bernini Express. The Jewish Liberace was sitting with me. He had been telling tales of his adventures in Switzerland, and how he and Freddie Mercury went to school together in London. He said that Freddie had been given a traditional Indian burial. I thought he was Persian I told him. He said, yes, yes, quite right, his skin color is lighter. I knew that he would tell things that are incredulous. He said he used to live in Los Angeles and was a hair dresser for some famous Hollywood celebrity. I don't remember her name. Then without missing a beat, he lifted his left cheek and farted next to me. Right then, I knew I had to leave.
