Quand le vent, l'eau et le gel s'associent...
When wind, water and frost are associated
Some winters in Geneva a north wind blowing, "la bise noire", very cold with speeds up to 90, 100 km / h. "La bise noire" pulverizes waters of Lake Geneva which are projected onto the shore, turning them into a surreal scene.
Very cold but really beautiful, magical..
Calculating speed, distance and energy - not easy for a sculpture to do .....

Well, this is the first night I have even had time to upload the next photo of the tree! The play began tonight, and since I am official photographer for the show, I have been very busy!
So, here is the tree, painted, and with one little branch of leaves installed. Funny looking!
It took three days to paint the tree. There was a LOT of surface area!
I will put on the final photo of the tree with all its leaves, soon. Unfortunately they wouldn't let me make the tree much taller. I had to make the top of the leaves flat across, instead of building them up in a crown, because otherwise the tree would hide "God", when he came out on his platform behind the tree. So, it ended up looking a bit strange, but... Oh well, I have accepted it by now!
I am looking forward to having my life back again, and working as admin of my group again, and commenting on all your pics again!
Once more, thank you for your patience and friendship!

Nagakura Kenichi treats bamboo as a purely sculptural medium. He creates unconventional, organic forms, sometimes accented with pieces of found wood and coated with finishes of his own creation. Nagakura spent years learning traditional bamboo techniques from his grandfather before innovating his own style. Bamboo, says the artist, is an ideal material to express nature: “Bamboo can be either delicate like a spider web or solid as stone, thus embodying the natural cycles of the world.”*

Soooo I took enough of a break from Witcher 3 to actually build something for a community display a few weeks back. Only got around to taking pictures yesterday, but here he is! The Royal Griffin, a.k.a. the first creature you meet in-game, awesome, majestic, grand and...not so awesome on Death March -__-
It's definitely my largest creature build to date, and a real satisfying at that despite the number of revisions and changes this guy had to go through. Had a blast with the base and rocks too.
I'd love to tackle a Leshen or Fiend build sometime in the future...but for now...back to looting stuff. *scoots*

“I Dream of Being a Tree is composed of twenty woven and printed panels. The work illustrates my relationships with trees and with dear friends, whom I asked to write short texts, or sometimes poems … I made a dream some true by portraying these relationships between these people and these trees in a monumental work. I Dream of Being a Tree is my hymn to life.”
