My first entry to Round 1 of this year's Iron Forge! The seed part is used 4 times in the 50947 variety β specifically the fun printed ones from this Tiny Turbos set. As soon as I saw I had these, I knew I had to use the red headlights as eyes, and the idea of a sprinting robot was born instantly.
Had some fun with the pictures and tried to give the bot some personality. Check out the alternate shot!
Sadly, my husband was not present to hear me squeal when I found this. I believe it's the RX-78 at least, but I could be wrong.
It's part of a display by GIAGUN, which is, if I recall correctly, an Italian Gundam appreciation group.
Lots of fun bits in this; I'm kinda late to jump on the olive green bandwagon but I have to say that it's such a nice color to work with. This is the product of about a month altogether working on and off on it.
Thanks to -Tayasuune- for the column idea and some comments and criticism would be appreciated.

The Andrealphus is the first in the line of Advanced Vertical Combat Systems (AVCS), highly complex systems with limited production runs. In fact, the AVCS-01 is the only unit of its kind. Unfortunately, it was stolen from an EP Industries warehouse and is now believed to be owned by a leader in the growing anti-URE resistance movement.
The Andrealphus is a close-combat focused system, but is equipped with a rifle for longer ranged skirmishes. For melee weapons, it carries four vibrotech blades, two on its hips and two on its shoulders. In addition to being used individually, the shoulder blades can be combined into a longer weapon. It uses a more developed version of the GRF's biocarbon-laminate armor, which is resistant to most physical attacks. Reports show that since its capture, the Andrealphus has also been equipped with a backpack that allows for short jumps through the air as well as limited space-faring capabilities.
So I've had my eye on the new HG Grimgerde for a while now, and while I'm waiting for it to get to a cheap price on Amazon I decided to make a Lego build inspired by it. So yeah, the majority of the build is based on the Grimgerde, except for the unintentionally-Sinanju-looking backpack, which I think adds a lot to the look, but makes it slightly too back-heavy, causing the knee joints to fail all the time. Aside from those balance issues though, it's pretty poseable, although the shoulders can get in the way of the arms' outward motion. Also the cockpit doesn't feel sturdy at all, but it was difficult enough to get it as compact as it is.
Now that I've got this finished, I just need to tidy up my workspace a bit, then I'll get started on your guys' requested builds, so keep your eyes out for those!
There was a previous baseframe 3 but I didn't like it all that much. So this will be the official basefame 3 and I'll be preparing some instructions like baseframe 2 over the next week or two. I also have sketches to post.
This started off as a small abstract robot sketch and evolved into a much larger beast. Will probably work backwards now and create a few of the working sketches. I am trying to avoid guns and want to move into more abstract robotics. Have been looking at Bjork's 'All is full of love' and Autechre's 'Second Bad Vilbel' both by Chris Cunningham (great director) as well as Chemical Brother's 'Believe' film clips for reference.
It`s being done on an Arches paper 140 lbs (300 gms) 22"x30" (55,5 x 75,5 cm) with ink pen.
It will take me some more days to finish. My head is exploding on ache today, so my workflow is a bit slow now.
Made while I am listening to Skrillex.

I wanted to display the last Gundam at Brickvention but it was destroyed soon after photographing it. Rebuilding would be a bit boring so I checked out what other Gundams were around and this one seemed a challenge worth attempting.
Lego gunship for my series "The Polaroid War". Gunship is detachable in four main components; quad engines, cockpit, and two ion laser cannons. Fits one pilot in the cockpit.
Started with a way that I could get a shoulder system to hold a heavy arm and the rest evolved from there. Form follows function.

The techies are doing some maintenance to the color bubbles machine. No one knows what is the machine for or what it means for them but it is always working and perfectly adjusted.
Navegando pelos cosmos, dentro de uma caixa de plΓ‘stico, uma pirΓ’mide de espelhos, rostos em movimento, o brilho confuso no infinito. O argonauta aproximou das luzes de lava e agora assentia que HAL estava certa.
