A heat T-storm, in the late afternoon, poured 34mm or l/m2 of rain into this area which the setting sun was unable to dry, therefore keeping the humidity close to saturation.
The Babno basin/polje is known for the strong nocturnal thermal inversion due to factors that enhance it such as the calcareous bottom and the open-air meadow area, which favor the rapid loss of heat from the ground towards space and a rapid decrease in temperatures from sunset.
The decrease in the evening temperature therefore favored the condensation of an already saturated water vapour.
In a short time, the entire basin will be covered by dense fog of low height.
Hello All,
These are Foxglove blooms just after a heavy rainfall. (I got caught in the rain squall and had to stand under a tree for awhile)... Aside from a crop, this is SOOC.
Thanks a million for viewing and for your comments. I do LOVE hearing from you! I hope your day is a creative and happy one!

I'm talking about the bears and their coats from all the rain. Although, rainy days do tend to saturate colors of photography subjects, too.
So I guess the title works with both the bears and the color in the photo. I did not add saturation to the colors. Also, this isn't cropped. And this sow actually had 3 second year cubs. The 2 others were outside the frame on the right. I wasn't in a position where I could get all 3 in the photo
Of course, a lot of places on the West Coast out here are feeling pretty saturated about now, too. Wild weather everywhere lately.

Have a lovely start to your week ...and, is anyone else having trouble commenting and/or adding faves during the last several days ?
After the sun dips below the horizon, but before the night sky takes hold, the colors of the sky really pop. It's funny to think of a North American Atlantic coast lighthouse as a sunset location rather than sunrise, but the orientation of Bass Harbor Head Light means that it shows its best colors at the end of the day...like this.

On this huge fallen oak, the rain was accentauting all the grain and knots, and there were so many species of fungi and lichens too.

Who knows what true loneliness is - not the conventional word but the naked terror? To the lonely themselves it wears a mask. The most miserable outcast hugs some memory or some illusion. -

After heavy rain and wet snow the night before, chasing this Iowa Northern southbound near Janesville, IA became a bit of a challenge on the secondary roads in the area. Good thing they weren't racing along, but myself and the Honda would be caked in mud requiring a "Whole lotta of shakin' going on."
Saturated Saturday Sensations. Just playing around a bit in Picasa with this picture from my archives. I am taking a quick break from doggie duty and laundry, I am going to start visiting all of your beautiful pictures now :) Happy Saturday!

This specimen let us get relatively close. Could it be more red! There are several other larger and just as beautiful dragons at the BioPark but they don’t land close to where it’s easy to photograph them.
"Plenty of people miss their share of happiness, not because they never found it, but because they didn't stop to enjoy it."
~William Feather
A little bit of a post and run today, I'm afraid.. I will try to catch up later today or tomorrow...
Stop and enjoy the day!
EDIT: Prestidigitizer pointed out my subconscious "Post" pun...!
Sometimes the tears we bear are so heavy they weigh us down, even though we try to seem bright and cheery. I know a few people who struggle with their tears. It is good to cry but there are times they don't know how to stop. Be kind to others. You never know what they are dealing with. But be careful to surround yourself with people who lift your spirits too!

We are experiencing an undue amount of rain, which is filling up lakes and rivers that have been low, and in some cases, almost dry. The stormy clouds are becoming something of a norm, and for the first time in many years of memories, I've worn a coat in Texas in May. This view of downtown Dallas was taken from a bridge over the Trinity River, which has left its usual boundaries in search of new ones. I'm enjoying feeling like I live in the Pacific Northwest.
