The cathedral basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar (Our Lady of Column) is the largest baroque temple in Spain and one of the most important temples in the country. It was established on the site of the first apparitions of Our Lady in the history of Christianity. She appeared on the "pole", hence the name "Mother of God on the Column".
It is considered the first Marian temple in the world because a column is preserved in it, on which, according to tradition, Mary - while still living in Jerusalem - appeared in the body to the apostle James on January 2, 1940. Madonna del Pilar is the patron saint of the Spanish World (Hispanidad) on October 12, which is Spain's national holiday.
Initially, there was only a small chapel here. The basilica obtained its present form thanks to the expansion in the years 1681-1754. The chapel of the Virgin Mary was enlarged in 1725 and is located inside the basilica. Antonio González Velázquez was one of the artists who painted the chapel's dome in 1752.

Bazylika katedralna Nuestra Señora del Pilar (Matki Bożej na Kolumnie) jest największą świątynią barokową w Hiszpanii i jedną z najważniejszych świątyń w tym kraju. Powstała w miejscu pierwszych w historii chrześcijaństwa objawień Matki Bożej. Objawiła się ona na "słupie", stąd nazwa "Matka Boża na Kolumnie".
Jest uważana za pierwszą na świecie świątynię maryjną, ponieważ zachowuje się w niej kolumnę, na której według tradycji Maryja - żyjąc jeszcze w Jerozolimie - objawiła się w ciele apostołowi Jakubowi 2 stycznia 40 roku. Madonna del Pilar jest patronką Świata Hiszpańskiego (Hispanidad) w dniu 12 października, które jest świętem narodowym Hiszpanii.
Początkowo znajdowała się tu tylko mała kaplica. Obecną formę bazylika uzyskała dzięki rozbudowie w latach 1681-1754. Kaplica NMP została rozbudowana w roku 1725, i znajduje się we wnętrzu bazyliki. Antonio González Velázquez był jednym z artystów, którzy w 1752 roku wykonali malowidła ścienne w kopule kaplicy.

Il soufflait un vent bien froid le long de l'Ebre ce soir là, alors que l'après-midi le thermomètre flirtait avec les 25°c, avec Virginie Kriegel-Bastide bien couvert et parés à ramener un instant magique de ces lieux nous avons mitraillé pas moins de 2 heures sur ce spot! émoticône grin

Ávila - city capital of Avila province in central Spain, in the Castillian Mountains at an altitude of 1128 m above sea level. The city was founded by Celtyberów and Christianized in the first century. After three centuries of Moorish rule, won them King Alfonso VI in 1085. After the reconquest, the city re-live the Christian knights. They began work on the most characteristic and representative building in the city - Las Murallas (walls). They have an average height of 3.6 m and 2.7 m thick, and now account for nearly 2.7 km in length, 9 gates led to the city and 90 towers increased the defense walls. The city is linked to St. Teresa of Avila A notable landmark is the Basilica of San Vicente commemorating St. Vincent of Saragossa. It is famous for the unusual tomb placed under a canopy in the oriental style.

Como ando muy mal de tiempo no me queda mas remedio que tirar de archivo para recuperar una Fotografia que en su dia le revele en bn sin mucho exito pues no tenia los medios tecnicos de los que dispongo ahora ni por supuesto la experiencia.
El titulo ys entendereis que es un pequeño homenaje postumo al amigo Felix..un tio grande que nos enseño la belleza de la naturaleza y nos enseño tambien a amarla y respetarla..va por ti Maestro.
Das reformierte Berner Münster war im Spätmittelalter dem Hl. Vinzenz von Saragossa geweiht und ist die grösste und wichtigste spätmittelalterliche Kirche der Schweiz. Es wurde im Stil der Gotik erbaut und gehört zu jenen gotischen Kirchen, die erst im 19. Jahrhundert nach Aufkommen des Historismus vollendet werden konnten. Der Chor des Münsters birgt einen aus dem 15. Jahrhundert stammenden Glasmalereizyklus, welcher gemeinsam mit jenem der ehemaligen Klosterkirche Königsfelden als bedeutendster der Schweiz gilt.
Die Stadt Bern ist eine Kommune und Hauptort des gleichnamigen Kantons. Bern wird «Bundesstadt» genannt und nimmt für die Schweiz die Funktion der Hauptstadt wahr. Es ist als Sitz der städtischen und grosser Teile der kantonalen sowie eidgenössischen Verwaltung das grösste Zentrum öffentlicher Verwaltung des Landes.

Das reformierte Berner Münster war im Spätmittelalter dem Hl. Vinzenz von Saragossa geweiht und ist die grösste und wichtigste spätmittelalterliche Kirche der Schweiz. Es wurde im Stil der Gotik erbaut und gehört zu jenen gotischen Kirchen, die erst im 19. Jahrhundert nach Aufkommen des Historismus vollendet werden konnten. Der Chor des Münsters birgt einen aus dem 15. Jahrhundert stammenden Glasmalereizyklus, welcher gemeinsam mit jenem der ehemaligen Klosterkirche Königsfelden als bedeutendster der Schweiz gilt.

Tavar Zawacki formerly known as 'ABOVE' (born 1981) is an American abstract artist living and working between Berlin, Germany, and Bali, Indonesia. For twenty years (1996–2016) Tavar Zawacki created and signed all of his artworks with his street artist pseudonym, 'ABOVE'. Tavar was born and raised in California until the age of 19, at which time, Zawacki bought a one-way flight from California to Paris, France, bringing with him a backpack full of art supplies, all the money in his bank account ($1,500 USD), and a 'rise above your fears' approach to starting his art career. Starting in Paris in 2000, Tavar transitioned from painting traditional letter style graffiti of A-B-O-V-E, to his 'Above arrow' icon that represented his optimistic mentality to 'rise above fears, challenges, and anything holding you back from your goals.' During a 20-year period, the artworks of ABOVE could be seen in over 100 cities spanning 50 countries around the world.
In January 2017, Zawacki decided to step out of his self-imposed shadow of anonymity, and start creating, and signing artworks with his real birth name – allowing more freedom of creative exploration, as well as liberation from the arrow icon he has associated himself with. Tavar Zawacki's painting styles with his large scale mural works, as well as his indoor fine art are characterized by the use of hard-edge painting, color field, geometric abstraction, Op art, and trompe-l'œil painting styles. Zawacki has been showcasing his work in galleries and creative institutions around the world since 2005.

La Aljafería es un palacio fortificado construido en Zaragoza en la segunda mitad del siglo XI por iniciativa de Al-Muqtadir como residencia de los reyes hudíes de Saraqusta. Este palacio de recreo (llamado entonces «Qasr al-Surur» o Palacio de la Alegría) refleja el esplendor alcanzado por el reino taifa en el periodo de su máximo apogeo político y cultural.
The Aljafería is a palace strengthened constructed in Saragossa in the second half of the 11th century on Al-Muqtadir's initiative as residence of the kings hudíes of Saraqusta. This palace of playtime (so called at the time " Qasr to the-Surur " or Palace of the Happiness) it reflects the brilliance reached by the kingdom gang in the period of his maximum political and cultural height.

Los romanos levantaron un campamento al lado de esa villa que llamaron Caesaraugusta por el emperador César Augusto.
El nombre evolucionó a Cesaracosta y, tras la conquista árabe, fue renombrada como Medina Albaida Sarakosta.
Con la reconquista cristiana, se pasó a llamar Saragoça (ç se pronuncia /ts/), después Çaragoça, y finalmente Zaragoza en castellano y aragonés, Saragossa en inglés y catalán, Saragosse en francés y Saragozza en italiano.

Las Ruinas de Belchite en Aragón -que se ven al comienzo de El Laberinto del Fauno- son las mismas que en 1988 el director Terry Gillian mostró en “Las Aventuras del Barón Munchausen”. Esta ciudad llevada a la ruina por las tropas de Franco, se ha conservado en ese estado por expresa indicación del dictador, por representar una de las batallas más emblemáticas de toda la Guerra Civil.
Entre los edificios destruidos, se pueden apreciar hermosas construcciones de estilo mudéjar y antiguas edificaciones civiles igual de importantes. Una parada que te sorprenderá si viajas a Zaragoza, y que puedes visitar tal y como si fuera un decorado de una película.

Típica postal del Ebro al su paso por Zaragoza, con el Pilar como protagonista.
La Catedral-Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar de Zaragoza es un importante templo barroco de España. Según la tradición, se trata del primer templo mariano de la Cristiandad, puesto que en él se conserva y venera el pilar —en realidad, una columna de jaspe— que, según la tradición, fue puesto por la Virgen María quien, viviendo aún en Jerusalén, se habría aparecido en carne mortal al apóstol Santiago el día 2 de enero del año 40. La historia documentada del templo se remonta al siglo IX, cuando según la Historia del traslado de San Vicente de Aimoino, se atestigua la existencia de una iglesia mozárabe en Saraqusta dedicada a Santa María en el mismo lugar en el que actualmente se encuentra la basílica barroca. En torno a este templo se articulaba una de las comunidades de cristianos de la ciudad.
El volumen exterior de la Basílica del Pilar alcanza proporciones majestuosas. A lo largo de los siglos, y sobre todo desde la edificación barroca, el templo ha ido engrandeciendo su silueta con el alzado de cúpulas y de torres en sus ángulos.
Posee en la actualidad once cúpulas techadas con tejas vidriadas de colores verdes, amarillos, azules y blancos. Una central, en la confluencia entre la nave y el tramo centrales de la iglesia —que consta de tres naves y siete tramos—; dos más pequeñas situadas a ambos lados, en los tramos segundo y sexto, sobre la Santa Capilla y el Coro Mayor; y cuatro menores rodeando en los ángulos a estas dos cúpulas medianas, sobre los tramos primero, tercero, quinto y séptimo de ambas naves laterales. Además, entre los contrafuertes se cierran capillas rematadas con linternas. Las torres, alzadas en su mayor parte en el siglo XX, alcanzan los noventa y ocho metros de altura.

The Puente de Piedra is oldest bridge over the Ebro River in Zaragoza. The first attempts to build the bridge took place in the 12th century. In 1401-1440 the Puente de Piedra was built, but a flood in 1643 destroyed the two central spans. It was destroyed and rebuilt many times as a result of the flood. The present shape comes from 1813. In the middle of the structure there is a cross commemorating the fight for independence, and at both ends there is a pair of lions (4 stone sculptures in total), the lion is the symbol of the city. From this bridge there is a wonderful view of the Nuestra Señora del Pilar basilica.

Puente de Piedra to najstarszy most nad rzeką Ebro w Saragossie. Pierwsze próby budowy mostu miały miejsce już w XII wieku. W latach 1401-1440 Puente de Piedra został zbudowany, ale powódź w 1643 zniszczyła dwa centralne przęsła. Był wielokrotnie niszczony i przebudowywany na skutek powodzi. Dzisiejszy kształt pochodzi z 1813 roku. Na środku konstrukcji postawiono krzyż upamiętniający walkę o niepodległości, a na jego obu końcach znajduje się para lwów (w sumie 4 kamienne rzeźby), lew jest symbolem miasta. Z tego mostu rozpościera się wspaniały widok na bazylikę Nuestra Señora del Pilar

Casi hace un año de esta Fotografia,como sigo sin tiempo pues tiro de archivo y recupero este retrato de un personaje fantastico,el tripico bandolero español de las sierras y de las estepas de aquella españa a mediados del siglo XVIII.
Desde luego que aun quedan bandoleros (esta el mundo plagado) pero no son tan entrañables como los de este personaje.

Si no conoces la Basilica del Pilar en Zaragoza (claro esta) cuando empiezas a bajar la C/ Alfonso que es la que te lleva directo desde el centro de la ciudad... pues esto es lo que "empiezas" a ver..
majestuoso se queda muy corto.
