A VENIT!
Împlântată-ntre castani
Doar o bancă aşteaptă acolo
De mai mulţi ani
Tot goală
Şi bate vântul mereu
Sub bancă – un măidan de frunze
Şi-o şapcă de liceu.

In 2005, the Army Corps of Engineers increased efforts to achieve U.S. energy independence, selecting Meridian
Solar to design and install the largest operational solar electric system in Texas. As a result, a 180 kW grid interconnected photovoltaic system now operates at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. The solar installation consisted of 1068 Schott SAPC-170 solar PV modules and 4 Xantrex PV Series Inverters. The ballasted flat-roof Schott FS racking system was installed atop existing barracks housing medical technicians-in-training.
Meridian Solar was responsible for all design and installation functions of the photovoltaic system. Through cost control and strategic planning measures, the project finished within budget and ahead of schedule.
