i teach a geometry class, and gave a lecture today about something i find incredibly beautiful: the golden ratio, which can be found from DNA molecules to hurricane forms to the shapes of galaxies.

i've been thinking a lot about the incredibly beautiful patterns that make up everything we know, and how the fact that we as humans find them beautiful only confirms our place as children of the universe.

many thanks to my lovely mama for standing in the frigid dusk to model for this.

He only fell off once, and managed to avoided all of the rolly bits.

Mister Sandman

bring me a dream,

make her the cutest that I've ever seen,

and give her lip of rose and clover...

¡and tell her that her lonely nights are over!

Sandman... I'm so alone,

i have nobody to call my own,

please turn on your magic bean,

Mister Sandman bring me a dream

I tried my hardest but none of my other cars fit in the boot. trunk. Cargo hold.

Years after Flint Marko's accident with the radioactive sand bond, changing Marko's molecular structure into sand, he slowley developed cancer. A cancer that caused his body to become unstable, unsuitable to survive out in the earths atmousphere.

He turned to S.H.E.I.L.D.'s scientists for help, but their every effort was a fail.

During this unfortunate occurance, Marko would randomly cross paths with a strange man. This man was always well dressed and he spoke with German accent. The man offered his services many times to help Marko. He said he had the to way to help Marko restore his body, mind and rid of his sickness.

Flint refused everytime. His mind was distorted. ignorance got the best of him. A large part of him wanted to die fighting the small voice that wanted a second chance.

He was too week and tired to battle it through.

He was ready to let go.

Every second that his body drifted, so did his mind further and further in to the astro plane. As he lay on the beach, on his death bed of everlasting sand, a dark murky figure stood over head and then, everything went black.

A voice called out into the darks. Flint followed the voice. It brought him to blue light. The closer he got the stronger the gravitated him.

There was no escape!

Suddenly, he awakened. Flint was alive again!

Something had changed...

"You're probably wondering about your new body, Mr Marko?"

"What we have accomplished today will go down in history! Hydra has combined the minds of our best scientists, alchemists and mechanical enginers as well as some tech we gather from the alien invasion that hit New York. You remember that don't you?"

"In order to keep you sustained, we developed this suit. Duelly note Mr. Marko, this containment suit is your only protection from dissipation. You can tempararily exit the suit, but if you are gone for too long, your essence, YOU will cease to exist.

It was going to take some getting use to, but Flint was greatful for what he was given. Hydra had succeeded where S.H.E.I.L.D. had failed.

He was a Hydra agent now and Flint will do what ever it takes to fullfill his new order.

The Sandman was back!

So, the new look...

I scraped my first idea and did my best not to get it confused with DC's Sandman.

He is a combination of Hydra alchemy and Chentari tech.

The breathing apparatus serves as a recharge. The alchemy essence inside acts as a suppresor for his radiation sickness. Hence why he can only be out of the suit temporarily. The magic also allows the Sandman to take control over people and consume them. Like a body snatcher. The gun that he weilds can also turn opponents instantly into sand or glass.

Soooo, yeah. Whaatch ya'll think? Feelin' it?

I'm feelin' it.

LEGO Marvel Superheroes

So I decided to make Sandman for the round. He's not the one that really is entered, rather his helmet. The helmet has all the detail including the flag, scratch marks, flashlight, and many more. Also I equipped the AK-74U to him due to the fact I needed a modded AK to go with the helmet. More pics of sandman to come.

Antelope Canyon, Arizona.

As we were passing through the canyon, I looked up and I saw this formation that looked like a face of a man. Right then I called this image "Sandman"... The shapes and forms that nature carved into these canyons, are nothing short of amazing! I am also surprised I could get any decent pictures in that dark condition. I took most of my shots without any tripod or monopod! The tour guides wouldn't give you any time for that and even if they would, other people could trip over your equipment anyway.
