When I first spotted this Sparrow I did not notice that it was not a Song Sparrow as I had thought at first glance. When I pulled it up on my computer I notice the differences and at the same time it was not quite the White-throated Sparrow I expected. It might be a hybrid or a morph of some type, but basically it is a White-throated Sparrow.
Can't help sharing a bw version of the previous shot: as much as I love colour, 'there is something' in bw...
Same bird folks but here I thought he was again going to fly, but did not, but still stayed with him just in case. Maybe next time.
Same street .... Took the winter shot yesterday 06/03/2017 and the spring one captured on this day, last year 06/03/2016.

Same composition of a previous upload but before sunset. I really like the shadows and tried to bring back the golden look that I saw when there.
this mornings sunrise was great, nice and clear. great for a short walk near the Scheepstal. explore #248.
The 19 windmills here at Kinderdijk date from the 1700's and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

Same trees as yesterday, with varying subject placement and crop. Birds don't generally give framing options, so it's nice to find a subject that allows exploration of placement. TBH, I think that all of these are attractive options.
Same nest/birds comparison...what a difference 17 days make!

"Si conobbero. Lui conobbe lei e se stesso, perché in verità non s’era mai saputo. E lei conobbe lui e se stessa, perché pur essendosi saputa sempre mai s’era potuta riconoscere così." (Italo Calvino)
Same as the previous upload, except this time I altered the exposure and managed to catch some pretty sweet water flow.
Same poppy - different angle, it at t the Leicester Peoples Photographic Gallery this Autumn. www.gretapowell.com
Same session - different set!
We stumbled over this gorgeous scene on our way back to the valley. These frozen branches were the first signs of winter I´ve seen this year, but I´m already thinking about getting back to this spot when the trees are covered with snow. I just love winter...can´t wait!
BTW, this was the first shot with my new 35mm Sigma Art. Guess I could get used to this perspective - amazing piece of glass!
Same bird, different crab. I made a circle around the big island west of Alligator Alley on Horsepen Bayou and the same Yellow-crowned Night Heron from yesterday's post was still on the hunt and still chowing down on blue crabs. It was having a good morning and I had no complaints either.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. All comments and Faves are very much appreciated
Same park, same morning but about 15 minutes later or 10 past official sunup.
This time of year the sun rises just north of due east which puts it behind trees. So we never see it burst on us like over water. When it finally arrives it filters through trees and when it is cloudy we don't get much color.
Today, it was overcast when I came into the park in the earlier photo but when I set up here it began to clear low on the eastern horizon and then all of a sudden it happened. I was already taking shots so when it happened I had my finger on the release, I also had my left hand on the focus ring because I was shooting manual so I quickly zoomed in for the second image. Just as suddenly as it appeared it disappeared leaving me to hope I nailed the focus.
Pentax uses something called 'Pixel Shift Technology' which results in an image about 170mp on a full frame camera. This is a .jpg of what you are looking at here.
A song with the same mood
That's Why - Michael Learns To Rock
Baby, won't you tell me why
There is sadness in your eyes
I don't wanna say good bye to you
Love is one big illusion
I should try to forget
but there's something left in my head
You're the one who set it up
Now you're the one make it stop
I'm the one who's feeling lost, right now
Now you want me to foget everything you said
But there is something left in my head
I won't forget the way you're kissing
The feeling's so strong we're lasting for so long
But now not the man your heart is missing
That's why you go away, I know
You were never satisfy
No matter, how I try
now you wanna say good bye to me
Love is one big illusion
I should try to forget
But there is something left in my heart
I won't forget the way you're kissing
The feeling's so strong
We're lasting for so long
But now not the man
Your heart is missing
That's why you go away I know
Yes, I know
Sitting here lonely in the midnight lost no where
Do't know which way to go
The race so much to say now between us
The race so much for you
The race so much for me
Anymore....
I won't forget the way you're kissing
The feeling's so strong
We're lasting for so long
But now not the man your heart is missing
That's why you go away I know
That's why you go away I know
Same morning as yesterday's shot of the valley and hills, but earlier, as the first light was building on the southeast horizon. I was shooting directly into the light, so a lot of adjustments were needed in processing. The Ecotour Road runs across a high upland plateau, with deep coulees on either side and the valley unfolding ahead - consequently there are a lot of excellent backgrounds for wildlife photography from the road itself. I'm not adverse to hiking, but in this case I was able to shoot from the rolling red Toyota blind.
And bison always look better with frost on 'em...
