Every year the lupine blooms at Sailor Bar. Some years are better than others. This was a good year. Sailor Bar is a historical section of the American River Parkway where apparently Sailors organised to dredge for gold during the California gold rush.

Well ... My wife made a boat, for my son, of a advertisement pamphlet that came along with the newspaper. And I took the opportunity to create this picture.
By the way, Vrisan came up with the idea of flag. He got a toothpick and pasted a piece of paper on it and stuck it in the paper boat.

This young sailor was re-painting the figurehead of his ship. He spent many time working in a very carefully way. When he finished, they kept looking at each other for a while. Both were full of pride.

I bought this dress for the Valentine's Party - but I COULDN'T WAIT TO WEAR IT!!!! LOL!!!
I had such a good time - I paid a surprise visit to a friend who I hadn't seen in a while, and wound up taking her to a valentine's brunch - everyone in the restaurant thought it was just about the cutest dress they'd ever seen!
