Sacred Spaces 2002. Thus artwork sits at the corner of Evington Place and Evington Road in Leicester. Created by artist Said Adrus and Bhajan Hunjan as part of the Cultural Mapping programme and supported by Public Art Leicester. The electronic display board was meant to act as community information board displaying time, temperature and quotes I remember. The display was updated by the Council and community groups.
A sacred kingfisher (Todiramphus sanctus) has been hanging around the bus stop lately, getting into scraps with the local kookaburra family.
