Abbey Coachways S905 OHN is bringing a school party to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. It is a Volvo OLY-50 with Alexander Belfast bodywork which was new in 1999 as Dublin Bus RV455.
In National Express livery No.1121 a Ribble Jonckheere bodied Volvo enters Bolton Moor Lane Bus Station on it's way to London on the 540 Service to London.

Throughout the POPS event the participants sought to ensure that regular Sunday arrivals and departures were able to operate to their normal schedule,
The most dramatic of these 'entrances' was probably by the formerly uninspiring white Volvo that now boasts this spectacular livery depicting some of what's on offer at the internationally renowned theme park.

S905 LHG is a Volvo B10M-62/Plaxton Premiere 350 coach in the fleet of Alton Towers Transport, Alton, Staffordshire. It was new to Harrison (Battersby Silver Grey), Morecambe, Lancashire in January 1999. It had been re-registered 3182 NF by January 2003, but had reverted to S905 LHG by the time it was sold to Plaxton, Anston (Q) in February 2005. It moved to Alton Towers in January 2007.

A question that came to mind when comparing this eye-catching design with one that featured for a while on at least one earlier member of the Towers fleet.
For passengers then, the rural delights of the Moorlands were seen only via the limitations of the all-over contravision. No doubt for most on board the destination would have mattered far more than any scenery...
...and now? hey-ho - fine coach, clear viewing, snazzy livery - smiles all round!

right first time - Adderley it was for a top-deck survey of First's off-duty fleet enjoyig their Sunday siesta.
As expected, the Atlantean was a real pleasure - ovely to make reaquaintance with this long-time stalwart of Bob's very special collection.
