What a stroke of luck! This pair landed right in front of me and allowed me to photograph them from a foot away; this species is normally quite wary.

Isabelle wants a horse so bad. One of these days I hope she gets her dream. This horse was corraled at the Hill Country State Natural Area. I just thought she was pretty.
This was kind of an accident; I was doing a normal landscape shot of the canyon walls at Zion, but the sun happened to line up with some odd clouds, giving the picture (for me) the feeling that something huge is happening in the sky while the Earth waits below.
Location is very approximate; I have no idea where I was in Zion when I took this.
In August of 2015, with help from supporters, community members and city and state officials, Victory Programs purchased a beautiful Victorian in Roxbury. Our organization had been looking for property to replace the 47 beds at Joelyn's Family Home, a state-of-the-art residential recovery home for women, which were permanently lost when the only bridge to Boston's Long Island was suddenly shut down. Acquiring and renovating this property was part of our plan to re-open those lost beds and rebuild our women's residential recovery services. This photo shows what the property looked like before we began renovation.
