This old beauty isn't going anywhere with the back of the car held up by old stumps. But this was another "stop!" moment for me as we passed this car beside the road, as I love old abandoned vehicles.

Day 193/365:

I couldn't resist this vintage door key with all its rusty goodness. This fabulous table opposite one of my favourite shops (Follyology) in Holt, Norfolk, was the perfect backdrop.

Walking past this old door in an abandoned building, I was captivated by this fragment of history frozen in time. The cracked turquoise patina contrasting with the deep black keyhole seemed to tell a thousand forgotten stories. I wanted to capture this sense of intrigue - a simple keyhole that invites you to imagine what lies on the other side, without ever revealing it. The texture of the cracks, like a map of unknown territory, adds an almost cartographic dimension to this simple encounter with the past.

During my one evening in Zakopane, my sight met this weathered building with its paint peeling into orange and grey, and a river lined with a railing covered in rusted locks. Little pieces of history still clinging on, most of their stories probably over long before the metal began to give in. Yet together, these places of corrosive time form their own dramatic story, one of bruised colors, paleness, and the kind of moodiness that lingers long after you’ve walked away. ️

On the way back from Taos to Santa Fe, we took the low road.

Can you hear our giddyness when we saw THIS peaking out on the side of the road?

Did a quick U-turn and its a ones mans passion - The Classical Gas Museum.

As our ferry docked yesterday in Horseshoe Bay, I noticed the wonderful rusty art made by ferries rubbing up against the baffle wall at Berth 1.

I got out these last few days to explore some new territory. I've known about this old car graveyard for a few years, but haven't really explored it before. I found some great old abandoned cars and trucks out there.

This is one of those things that I think is awesome because it's rusty and textured and so, so interesting, but that my dad is probably not psyched I'm posting pictures of on the internet, seeing as how it's the rusty basketball hoop pole in my parents' driveway. But I was there for burger night and wandering around the backyard looking for photo subjects, and had exhausted my interesting ideas with the film camera, and I kind of hate taking the same shot with film and digital sometimes.

Newly demolished. This was a coal-burning hydro generating plant for years:

Now it is several huge, cool heaps of twisted metal and bits of building.

Rusty Goodness. School bus depot. Looks like it used to be a Coke bottling plant.

This is the clearance bar/beam that is supposed to go across the entrance to the parking garage at my office building. Someone knocked it off a couple of years ago and then dragged it out in to the grass next to the garage. It's been there ever since.
