The crowds just kept coming. At 55,000 runners strong, this stream of people kept coming for 2 hours straight!

Team Grizzly from HSI Canada was out to raise awareness about the horrific trophy bear hunting currently taking place in BC's Great Bear Rainforest. This hunt is supported by our provincial government despite the fact that the First Nations people, conservationists and majority of British Columbians are against it.

Aug. 11, 2011, 7:09 p.m. After a talk about yoga for runners by marathoner and yoga instructor Jane Dawson, the Running Room (Slater St) marathon clinic members are about to head out for a beautiful 8½ km training route, crossing from downtown Ottawa to Gatineau, Québec, and back.

On Sunday, the 19 km LSD (long-slow-distance) route will also be a two-province affair.

Made as a gift! Not my normal colors/fabric but I'm happy with how it turned out! The bear claw blocks on the ends are vintage, made by my grandmother. We made the center once since there were only two!
