One of the pairs of the ruby slippers from "The Wizard of Oz" at the "Color in Motion" exhibit

My "Wizard of Oz" socks... at least the start...... black and white stripes continue down the top of the foot, while the heel, sole and toe (and a "strap" across the instep) are done in red to simulate the Ruby Slippers!

Best food I've ever eaten. At The Ruby Slipper.

Well, I KNOW she won't surrender!

Photographed in the Hall of American Culture in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington DC, USA.

but did you know that the slippers in the book are really silver? now you do : )

Tonight I put on my little red shoes and went out with friends for the night. We had dinner then took in a drag show, had a bit of a dance and of course took hundreds of photos (how sad are we). Best night out in ages.

The drone show that they have before the fireworks in recent years. This was the 40th anniversary of Silver Bells so the tree and some of the drone formations referenced the "ruby" anniversary.
