Rubber Duck in Kaohsiung

This one is my personal fav along with Scrub a Duck

This poor guy is moored on the Jersey side of the Delaware River after strong winds made navigating the river impossible. This duck, weighing in at 11 tons at 61 feet high, is the largest rubber duck in the world and the product of Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman. It's here for the weekend's Tall Ships Philadelphia-Camden festivities.

If this little duck was any slower, he’d have to be watered twice a week.

All of a sudden the harbor of Hong Kong turned into a giant bathtub for this rubber duck duck.

Rubber Duck Taiwan Tour: Kaohsiung, Glory Pier.

aaargh! i'm in the process of switching isp's. i've been using charter for the past 1.5 years. the past two weeks have been internet up, internet down. every day and night. extremely frustrating!

while i'm ranting, i think i'll mention something else that has been chapping my hide. it's called "automatic renewal" in the magazine subscription world. to make a very long story short, i purchased two gift subscriptions through amazon.com last december. it now seems that the service amazon uses (synapse connect) will anually charge these subscriptions to my credit card for the rest of my life (or until i cancel the card.) if you subscribe to magazines, keep an eye on your credit card statement!

sorry to rant. i really do need to start a blog. ;)
