Thyysen Krupp ist der größte Werkbahn Betreiber Deutschlands.
Das Gebäude steht unter Denkmalschutz und die derzeitigen Eigentümer planten / planen zwar eine Sanierung, aber das dürfte keine einfache Nummer sein. Das Werk ist arg baufällig und sicher gibt es auch Rückstände aus Zeiten des aktiven Betriebs.
Es gibt für vieles in der Landwirtschaft Vollernter. Fürs Getreide - Kartoffeln - Mais - Wein - Karotten- Zwiebeln - Grünkohl- Erbsen - Rüben - Rosenkohl - Bohnen - sicherlich habe ich noch einige vergessen. Nur für den Weiß und Rotkohl dort wird noch von Hand geerntet. Hier 6 reihig, jedem Mann oder jeder Frau wird eine Reihe zu gewiesen.

Captured while traveling through Texas on our way to New Mexico after spending the night in Oklahoma. This is along the old section of Route 66 ... now taken over by Interstate 40.
Shot as night fell. I was parked about a block away (and one block off Route 66), and illuminated this with my flashlight during a time exposure.

Die erste Ausstellung nach der umfangreichen Sanierung des Gasometers zeigt die Schönheit der Natur und den Einfluss des Menschen auf seine Umwelt. „Das zerbrechliche Paradies“ nimmt die Besucher mit auf eine bildgewaltige Reise durch die bewegte Klimageschichte unserer Erde und zeigt in beeindruckenden, preisgekrönten Fotografien und Videos, wie sich die Tier- und Pflanzenwelt in Zeiten des Anthropozäns verändert.

If you've ever driven across Interstate 40 in Texas, you will probably recognize this leaning tower. No, it isn't about to fall over. It was moved to this location by Ralph Britten as a roadside attraction for his truck stop. He installed it at this angle on purpose to bring in customers. It worked well and brought in a lot of curious people. The business burned down in the 80's and now the City of Groom, TX maintains the tower. Another interesting story on Route 66.
