Cowboys at the annual bison roundup at the Antelope Island in Utah. This is one of the nation’s largest and oldest public herds as horseback riders move the bison from the southern tip of the island to the handling facilities located at the park’s north end.
The Roundup opened back in the 1940's and I'm guessing the sign is from the 50's. In May of 2009 I went out to Surrey for a change of scene but found the cafe closed and neon sign off as it was a long weekend at the time. Until recently the area to the North of the cafe had a huge problem with street people, the homeless, and open drug use. Although things have since improved I haven't been back as the Whalley area has little appeal.
