The most famous of MC Escher's work - finally built to add to my collection :)

--

The whole Escher phase started with Rogue Bricks 101 challenge and Style It Up's Monochromatic challenge. Classic Simon I double dipped and did with Penrose Sewers.

I was never happy with the result, and created a proper Ascending Descending.

So when this round of RougeBricks 101 challenge was Monochrome, I knew I had to revisit and build Relativity. This version actually had a few more pieces than 101 pieces, I had to drop some pieces and a lot of structure ... so this is just over 101 build 👀

Dedicated to Jam Master Jay, rest in peace.

What a year… 2022 changed a lot, in the whole world and in our private situation as well. We had a big change in the beginning of the year, which gaves us reams of sleepless nights and lots of other troubles. In the end it turned out fine and let’s hope that will be the same for the situation in Europe and the world.

Referring to my (our) hobby it was also some kind of strange. I built a lot, much more than in several other years… That was mostly triggered by RougeBricks and their great contests (Thanks a lot guys). But on the other hand, I had an extremly huge motivation Problem. It seems that I lost the whole enthusiasm to build, and that for several month… So, I was not able to build something for a planned collab for Steinewahn in Berlin and at the end we dropped it completely (for this year). But BrickingBavaria in Fürth was a spark of hope. I managed to contribute my (little) part for our Rogue Frontier collab. That and the whole exhibition as well was absolutely awesome. It was so great to meet so many friends after such long time, or even for the first time.

Sadly, we also lost some good friends this year… Have an eye on yourself, your family and your close friends. Be positive and be thankful for the time with them and waste it well. Let’s try to keep that spirit and do your best to make 2023 better.

best

The Comic Con in Stuttgart is over and it was amazing. I can`t really describe how I am feeling after that weekend. I had a wonderful time and I met so many new people (especially from the LUG Rogue Bricks - thx mates, It was a pleasure to meet you all)... only 363 days to the next one :D

As I promised last week, here are my figs for the 10th Doctor era. Mickey, Rose and Jackie are the same - I will give them a makeover during my creations. I am really happy with Martha, but unfortunately Donna isn`t the best in my opinion. Do you have any suggestions to improve her?

But wait... where is Captain Jack Harkness? Did you miss him? Well, maybe I will told you his story in the next few days - stay tuned :P
