Many a time in my three year Flickr "journey" so far, I have expressed my personal opinion about the tremendous communicative power of colour ... A power that is usually heavily underestimated by gray-scale photography enthusiasts ...
I was walking by the abandoned and wrecked old village dwelling that you all see above and my attention was attracted not by the building itself (my camera has paid attention to its "magnificent" abandonment status before) but by the vivid reddish hue of the atmosphere ... A hue that seemed as if originating from the intense red colour of the rotten pomegranates lying at the synthesis foreground and gradually spilled into the colour of the exposed bricks on the building's walls ...
The sense of abandonment lies everywhere and the red colour plays the role of the binding substance diffused in all crucial aspects of the synthesis ...
If the frame was chosen to be presented in gray-scale mode, then we would simply have another "plain", "abandonment" related photograph in our hands ....

The rotting stumps of the Cawley Nursery on the Top Park at Poynton. This parkland plantation of mainly Beech trees has been a significant landscape feature for decades but now the trees are reaching the end of their life. The loss of this landscape feature is keenly felt by those who have grown up with it. A similar fate is befalling the Round Nursery to the west closer to Towers Yard.

My first visit to Kelanang, Banting, Selangor really worth the time and effort since I had to drove there for almost 2 hours. Kelanang offered one of unique landscape that I haven't experience before either in Australia or New Zealand.
