This is the Prunus triloba 'Multiplex' also know as 'Rose Tree of China" or "Flowering Almond" Average size: 1.5m high (5 feet ) . Exposure: full sun. see photos of them I put up last spring.

I have just noticed the very first blooms have arrived on it for this year. Yay Spring!

this is henry and eliot's tree ... it is a rather unassuming hardy shrub during the year but in may it fills with beautiful pink blossoms ~ we thought it was an appropriate tree for them and a nice reminder for us that beauty can be fleeting and yet somehow lingers on ...

We have a couple of these gorgeous flower-bearing bushes in the back-yard, so, I took some time to take a few shots of their fabulous pink flowers.
