This is a quite new rope bridge at the Leitersteig (literally: ladder trail). The bridge substitute a whole bunch of ladders that were necessary to cross this gorge by climbing down and up on ladders. Because the whole construction is hanging freely on ropes of steel it is quite a swinging matter. Real fun :-)
Das ist eine relativ neue Brücke am Leitersteig. Dieser Steig hat den Namen durch die vielen Leitern, die nötig waren, um diese Schlucht erst runter und dann rauf über Leitern zu überwinden. Nachdem diese Leitern im Frühjahr durch reißende Gebirgsbäche regelmäßig zerstört wurden, hat man vom Alpenverein diese Hängebrücke gebaut. Das ist eine schöne schwingende Angelegenheit, weil die ganze Konstruktion frei schwebend an Stahlseilen aufgehängt ist. Eine richtige Gaudi, halt :-)

This one is taken near Galle, Sri Lanka. The tour guide said this traditional way of coconut rope manufacturing is fading out since it's very labour intensive and factories can do it much better. Sri Lankans use every bit of a coconut from farming to building houses!
In this photo the guy is pushing wet coconuts up a little stream to another worker who scoops it up into a machine.
I saw an image of this rope bridge in the National Archives for Ireland and it was interesting to see how it was constructed back at the turn of the 20th century.
Those concrete poles are on the beach near Nieuwpoort. They are gigantic, about 4-5 m high. Will be going back to this location, wasn't that happy about cloudfomrations.
