My Ron Cooper Audax bike during London-Edinburgh-London 2005 on a 67.5" gear.
Taken at Whorlton wooden bridge.
The angles on this frame make it easier to spin and I hit my max rpm on this bike in Oct 2007 when I momentarily hit 41mph on a 67.5" gear at 205rpm in the dip of a hill in Kent
This is my Ron Cooper Fixedwheel Audax bike after last weeks accident.
The forks are bent and twisted and also the top tube and down tubes are bent and the front wheel is buckled, once I am fixed up I will take it to my local bike shop for a ful check over and see if Ron Cooper can repair the frame or do a full rebuild.
I'll miss this bike as it was my steed for London-Edinburgh-London in 2005

Bicycling Magazing "Super Track Bike Road Test" from July 1975. Contains reviews of Fuji, Masi, Kabuki, Panasonic, and Ron Cooper bikes. VERY cool.
This is my single speed build around a hand made Ron Cooper steel frame. It has a real mix of parts. I brought it off ebay and have slowy been changing parts. New this weekend is the white velocity rear wheel.

"Uplifting story of post-war UK...Beautifully scripted...it is not surprising that this is an award winning show"
1948. Beleaguered Britain is recovering from the Blitz, austerity measures are in full force across the country and there is a heat wave on the way. But old Martha Britt wants to bake a cake and there are no eggs to be found. To make matters worse it is the eve of the 1948 Olympic Games and she cannot abide sport. Can a visit from her late husband and the ghosts of the games past, present and yet to come convince her to save the Olympic spirit
and herself? Tell Tale blend an award winning triathlon of physical storytelling, British wit and slapstick with a dash of Dickens to bring you the sportiest play you’ll ever see. Pip, Pip!

Andy got this frame built by legendary London frame builder Ron Cooper. He wanted the exact same angles as the Merckx behind it. Last year he gave me the Merckx.

Ron Cooper, who represented GB at the 1948 Olympics, carrying the Olympic torch on the Olympic Torch Relay. North Woolwich, London. 21 July 2012
This beast was twisted when Nick Blades (whose uncle is none other than Greg Lemond) got hit while riding his top o' the line Lemon(d) which was a gift from his illustrious uncle. Rumor has it this may be one of the reasons Trek unceremoniously fired Lemond for giving away and selling (on Ebay) too many Lemond Bicycles. "But I'm Greg Lemond! I Do What I Want!!"
