The Lilac-breasted Roller, unofficially also the National Bird of Kenya, is indeed one of the most colourful and beautiful birds seen in almost all of the National Parks of Kenya.
This lovely Lilac-breasted Roller was photographed sitting comfortably on a signpost in Maasai Mara National Park, Kenya.

Lilac-breasted roller is often considered one of the most beautiful birds in the world with its pastel (colours: buff, white, purple, blue, turquoise, green, black, tan) plumage, striking field marks and long tail streamers.
Browsing landscpae to catch a bee or fly. Tried capturing but gosh they move so fast, one really need lot of practise to get that shot, may be some other time..
Was out in the area, not really planning on taking photos, thought I might get a decent sky so I stopped by and tried a quick one. Didn't really work out how I hoped it would!

Old yarn rollers, sit across the floors of the abandoned textile mill, in Brisbane. These ones formed a nice pattern and had to be photographed!
