Four Suffolk Roller Derby skaters warming up before the league's first ever home bout. They won 195-155 against Killa Hurtz Roller Girls.
From the naked eye the Hinckley sub is fairly flat, but with the compression of zoom, it's anything but. The daily CP manifest has just rounded the corner under HWY 23 and is charging south, and for the most part up hill for the next 12 miles.

The Indian Roller (Coracias benghalensis), also called the Blue Jay in former times is a member of the roller family of birds.
The Indian Roller is a stocky bird about 26–27 cm long. The breast is brownish and not blue as in the European Roller. The crown and vent are blue. The primaries are deep purplish blue with a band of pale blue. The tail is sky blue with a terminal band of Prussian blue and the central feathers are dull green. The neck and throat are purplish lilac with white shaft streaks. The bare patch around the eye is ochre in colour. The three forward toes are united at the base. Rollers have a long and compressed bill with a curved upper edge and a hooked tip. The nostril is long and exposed and there are long rictal bristles at base of the bill.
Martha found herself a pair of roller boots today. See how they tone in with her outfit, right down to her little bag. I couldn't not buy them for £2.

Found at the Poundstretcher in Leicester for the handsomely small price of just £1.50, this Road Roller (yes, that's its name, how dull) is the first Matchbox in my collection to come in the plastic-free, traditional-style Power Grabs packaging. The green and red colour scheme is a reference to an early Matchbox steamroller in the same colour scheme.
This is a real roller coaster track photo I took yesterday at Indiana Beach, an amusement park in Monticello, Indiana. I decided since it had no cars on it at the time it would be nice to give Peggy a ride on it. LOL!! Hope you get a laugh out of this.

I went out and tried roller derby last night...with the Jersey Shore Roller Girls. It was awesome. I fell a LOT (haven't skated since the 80s) and am super sore in places I didn't even know I had muscles. But I can't wait to do it again next week!
