For this today's installment of Freedom Friday (f/k/a Failure Friday a/k/a/ Freedom to Fail Friday), we revisit the same mysterious underexposure and apparent light leaks that plagued last week's entry.
Here, the underexposure gives the shot a kind of eerie quality. Maybe I should have saved it for Freedom Friday: Halloween Edition?
This unique architecture in Karuizawa is the Stone Church , also known as Uchimura Kanzo Memorial Stone Church, was built in 1988 by the American architect Kendrick Kellog, a disciple of the revered Frank Lloyd Wright.
The clever roof structure of stones and glass arcs from East to West, allowing sunlight to enter, creating different mood with the varying position of the sun throughout the day.
However, on that day, there was a wedding thus unable to tour and view the marvelous interior of the Stone Church.

This camera dates from the 1920s, and the focal plane shutter no longer works. I wedged the shutter open and took photos in artificial light, allowing exposures of several seconds, using a lens cap as a shutter.
The film is Rollei Retro 80S black and white negative film, developed in Rodinal 1:50 for 14 minutes at 20 degrees.
