This looks kind of odd. A Waste Management roll off truck hauling a Waste Pro (their competition's) dumpster.
My best guess - Waste Pro needed this dumpster hauled and had WM haul it for them.
My next guess - this could be a privately owned container that was replaced by or purchased from Waste Pro and then the private owner changed contractors?
Worst case - which would be very brazen if it was true, is that the driver could be making some money on the side (but I doubt there's anyone out there that stupid).

Some of you may notice that few of the 90's Calsan Roll-off's (This also includes the Low-Boy containers) are all white. All half-boxes with the big Calsan logo are all white. These containers nowadays are all spray painted by CalMet.
HCVS London to Brighton Run 2024
The highlight for me from the more modern entries, something a bit different. Shown in its working colours, Cecily Wiggins, who operated it until around 2019.
After a break for the Queen last year, Brighton was back and as always was an excellent showcase of the variety of vehicle types and eras represented in preservation and the efforts of those putting in hours of restoration and negotiating the hot temperatures, early starts, long journeys and heavy traffic is much appreciated by enthusiasts.
From a personal perspective, a number of the 'new' entries in the programme I'd hoped to see did not make it/weren't ready in time, but still enough there to share some photos of vehicles I haven't shared before.
The new start of Brooklands may be a good place to go next year, as photography on Madeira Drive was trickier again, with the hideous green fencing and some changes to the road layout, plus so many modern attractions and street furniture along the seafront now. There is however still some charm in the deteriorating architecture, even the graffiti can add something a bit different to the photos!

Also from the old Calsan website archived on web.archive.org before becoming inaccessible again. The 90's Calsan roll-offs and storage box color scheme is nearly the same as the 80's version except for two things. The green stripe is shifted one unit to the right, and the Calsan logo (Which appears to be from the commercial bin sticker design from the 80's, except a recycle symbol is placed on the bin part of the logo design) replaces the letter and phone number text info of the company. The logo is placed at the center, or the top-center of the roll-off. The logo is also placed at the center of the storage boxes. As of 2009, these containers are all spray painted by CalMet.

Here it is! The ex LA Peterbilt American Vehicles Incorporated (AVI) from Superior Sanitations. Before Superior Sanitation acquired the AVI, another company Hawaiian Roll Off (not Rolloffs Hawaii) in Kona, purchased the AVI and an ex SCD Amrep Octo for their commercial route. Hawaiian Roll Off sold those routes and trucks to Superior Sanitation but remain in business for Roll Offs. The AVI is still in Hawaiian Roll Off colors when the video was filmed. I was informed by the owner Mike, that they purchased paint for the AVI and it will be repainted in Superior Sanitation colors soon.
I found the AVI on its cardboard route in Kona. The driver, Rich, could not have been more friendly and he told me many stories about the AVI. First, he told me how the AVI is everyones favorite truck and how it is tough, fast and rarely ever has any problems. Rich went on to tell me how the owner Mike, made some modifications to the AVI. First, he raised the cab cover so when they service the Peterbilt, they do not have to raise the AVI body. The AVI also used to be a stand up truck with right hand drive, so they took a Peterbilt door off another truck and modified the right hand side with a new seat and door to make it easier and safer for the helper. Rich even called Mike to tell him about me and they invited me to their yard. This AVI is incredibly loud, sounds great and it has a classic early 90's truck sound, especially in regards to the brakes and revving. I made sure to zoom in on the LA green bleeding out, especially the inside of the hopper that was never painted. Rich gave the AVI some pretty loud revs in this video and you will see this truck scream in part 2!
I hope everyone enjoys this video. There will be a part 2 with a major surprise in regards to the AVI and something that nobody has recorded an AVI doing. If anyone travels to Kona and wants to find the AVI, I strongly encourage you to. When I filmed the AVI it worked Mondays and Thursdays and was a spare the rest of the week.
That brief clip at the beginning was at a rare black sand beach. This black sand beach with turtles is located at Punalu'u black sand beach park.
Thank you Superior Sanitation, Rich, the helper, and the owner Mike. Superior Sanitation is a great company and on top of that Mike and all the drivers are incredibly friendly.
This is what 90% of Walters containers look like, aside from a handful of green and black ones. They also have a decent amount of 20yd low load level containers too.
Never in a Million years would i have thought i'd ever seen anything in SCA livery, but i found this old Stationary compactor at Kappy's Liquors in Medford Ma While filming A JRM rolloff.
