Vintage collector's card. Félix Potin chocolate bar minicard, series 1. Famous painters of the late 19th century: Alfred Philippe Roll. Photo by Boyer, Paris.

Alfred Philippe Roll (1 March 1846 – 27 October 1919) was a French painter, who started out in a romantic style with works like Fete of Silenus (1877), exhibited at the Paris Salon. Yet, afterward he chose a more realist style and became one of France's highest ranked painters of the day. Becoming an official painter of the French Government, he was commissioned to paint numerous art pieces, including those of murals, ceilings, and other building decoration.

Classic roll cake filled with durian cream. Recipe up on my blog .

after experiencing the rolling cookies last night, I thought of making the pancake thinner and brush a very thin layer honey inside, and roll it up...

it looks prettier to me and still taste softly nice...

Home made Cinnamon Roll.

Homemade sausage in puff pastry. The only item missing is the mustard. What kind of mustard is still up for debate :)

Just a quick test shot

One of my most played albums when I was a "yoof" was John Lennon's Rock n Roll. I like it not just because of the music, but the really cool cover. In fact it is one of my favourite album covers...ever. It shows John standing in a doorway, hands in pockets underneath a red neon sign. It was probably the first "selective colour" shot I'd seen.

During a recent visit to Liverpool we went down Mathew Street, saw the red neon sign above the Cavern Club door and decided to have a try at paying tribute to the man and the album art. It isn't supposed to be a total recreation - just a nod in that direction. As anyone who is familiar with my photostream knows, I really like signs and lettering.

The photo on the cover of Rock n Roll wasn't taken in Liverpool - it was actually taken in Hamburg, but who cares - it is a bit too far for me to go just for one snap.

Rock n Roll was released in 1975 and was partly produced by Phil Spector. I recently repurchased it on CD.

Our rollout ladder was designed to allow for the kind of foot placement training that mimics real-life movements on the court or field. Physical Education teachers and coaches have the perfect tool for conducting twice as many drills and exercises with large groups. Made of our highest-quality rubber, the ladder is only 1/8-inch high, pliable, and stays in place, meaning self-conscious beginners are less likely to slip or lose their footing, and coaches are less likely to interrupt training to re-set the ladder. (Note: It is recommended to wear a shirt while training).

Also has little bungees for keepin a tube of your choice in the roll. I couldn't be more excited on how these came out, Elias at Lemolo is amazing and really nailed this. They are $120 fully loaded with tools and ready to ship.

The "Radish Roll" featured tuna, salmon, white fish and diakon sprouts rapped without rice in a thin daikon radish wrap. ($7.50)

Note: Four pieces was kind of skimpy for this otherwise great roll. The daikon radish sprouts and the thin daikon radish wrapping gave the fish meat a nice spicey kick. Not bad, but just not spectacular. The fish, as was the rest of the sashimi at Kobe, was very fresh.

This is 1 of my frequent spots. I knows alot of spots around the harbor. But there's a price. Every so often I gets rolled up. It usally haappens when I get out the ride but hey, thats the price I pay. I seen the Harbor Patrol lurking and I waited where they couldn't see, as soon as the line started moving I jumped out and set my GoPro down and started flicking. I would let the audio play but the GoPro is in a waterproof case and you really cant hear anything. In the end she told me that I was tresspassing and I couldn't take picture's. Will see what she says next time...

Finally proofed some hand carved wood borders we found in the shop. Blue and white rainbow roll.

Believe it or not, this works really well, and it's *really silly*.

Test Roll of Lomography CN 400 in my new Lomogrpahy Konstruktor DIY SLR.

VERY wide depth of field, the ring was about 1m or so away and the background is almost in as much focus.

Overall the pictures are okay. I don't think I'd be using it that often, the 1/80 shutter speed is just a bit too slow unless you stop and stand still.

Also it likes to eat film.

Not so much Andrex. More X-Ray Spex.

A cracking track from the heady days of punk to go with this one . . .

This manatee came up and bumped the bow of my kayak then rolled over. This is a belly shot. After rolling, he slid under and bumped me hard.
