Chester is everything one imagines when they think about Old England...the shops tucked away in the Rows or even on the ground floors are really delightful. The Victorian craftsmanship in these half-timber buildings is stunning.
Shot late on a winter day, this was a difficult capture. It is hard to get far enough back, and the wide angle creates a strong distortion. So it took some serious work and compromise getting it upright, but other than a bit of distraction removal this is straight photography.

It all started 2 years ago, when I got my hands on the new, back then, huge technic gears. It wasn't long before I realised that they would make a perfect bezel on a huge lego watch!
My favorite watch design was always the iconic Rolex Cosmograph Daytona so I was definitely going for that!
Couple of months after I created it, November of 2017, TLG asked AFOLs through the LAN for ready to go, large mocs that can depict exact time (13:58) for displaying them in a secret event at the time in The Lego House. Instantly I applied and it got accepted with other 7 mocs around the world.
Finally on 28/01/2018 the event took place and it was for the 60 years anniversary from the exact time that the 2x4 lego brick got patented!
After this significant event I decided to take it a step further and create a proper watch box to embrace it! I'm a woodworker so I was going for something special. The leather interior was not something I had tried before but I'm pleased with the result!
