The Rococo interior of the Freising Cathedral - some change history below:
The cathedral of Freising was built in Romanesque style from 1159 to 1205. First change to the interior was the replacement of the flat Romanesque wooden ceiling by a Gothic vault ceiling during 1481 to 1483. In a further change during the Baroque period the Gothic vault ribs were removed, the final change was the Rococo decoration created around 1724 by the brothers Cosmas Damian Asam and Egid Quirin Asam.

Well, more important than the high altar itself is the picture behind it:
Woman of the Apocalypse, painted by Peter Paul Rubens from 1623 to 1625.
This is actually a copy from 1922, the original was relocated into the Alte Pinakothek museum in Munich.
Here is an overview of the entire cathedral interior.

Kloster Schäftlarn is a Benedictine monastery south of Munich.
It was founded in 762 as a Benedictine monastery. The chaos caused by the Hungarian wars in the early 10th century, disintegration of moral and mismanagement caused an end to the monastery in 931.
In 1140 bishop Otto von Freising gave the monastery to the Premonstratensians, until its dissolution during the secularisation of Bavaria in 1803, Kloster Schäftlarn belonged to the Premonstratensian Order.
In 1866 King Ludwig II of Bavaria restored possession to the Benedictines and in 1910 Prince Regent Luitpold again raised it into the rank of abbey.
The present appearance goes back to 1707, the church of St. Dionys (St. Denis) was built from 1733 to 1740 in the Rococo architectural style, it is a prime example of this style.

Detail of the virgin Mary statue behind the high altar. A special design feature is the window behind the Madonna's head, the window acts as a halo, an effect emphasized by the golden rays emanating from the window.
St. Maria (St. Mary) is a Wallfahrtskirche (pilgrimage church) located in Thalkirchen, in the south of Munich. The church was built in Gothic style around 1390, replacing a Romanesque predecessor. The steeple still has some late Romanesque features. In 1693-1698 the church was converted to Baroque style, the appearance of the Madonna with the windew behind is a Rococo work by Ignaz Günther dating to 1759-1769.

Come with me and take a look in the beautiful church of Kallmünz, which is a gem itself in this picturesque town. In 1750, St. Michael has been rebuild in Rococo style on the remains of the original roman church.

The castle in Wermsdorf, built from 1721 onwards, was an electoral Saxon hunting castle of the Saxon elector and Polish king August III.
St. Kassian is the oldest church in Regensburg, and even one of the first mentioned in Bavaria (885). In 1747 its style was changed to Rokoko. In 2012-2015 the building has been completey renewed.
For those interested in the making-of:
This image is not a single capture, but a crop from a multi-row panorama of 38 images in 6 rows and up to 7 columns (each of them being a HDR from 5 exposures). So, overall I took nearly 200 single captures to create this image. Finding a good projection and crop for such an extreme vertical viewing angle can be a challenge; note that the decoration at the very top of this image belongs to the gallery under which I was standing while taking captures. I used PTGui to stitch the pano, Adobe Photomerge (LR/PS) refused to work on this 😀
The original image is 6501×9161 px, so don't miss to zoom in (2x) to explore the beautiful details!

The building with the tower is the town's rococo town hall, built between 1765 and 1778. Steyr is the third largest city in Upper Austria with a population of about 38,000.

"The Szczebrzeska Gate in Zamość – one of the old gates in the Old Town of Zamość, and also part of the Zamość fortress.
The former Szczebrzeska Gate (also known as Floriańska Gate) was built at the beginning of the 17th century, when Zamość was expanded, as one of three gates at that time, located on the southern line of the city walls, on the road to the west. This Mannerist gate with attics was rebuilt in the second half of the 18th century, when it was decorated with Rococo attics and sculptures, including St. Florian (destroyed during World War II) and St. Michael the Archangel, which is now located on one of the streets of the New Town.
Further changes were made during the partitions, in the first half of the 19th century, when its appearance was changed to the classicist style that remains to this day.
It was not the only building that was rebuilt and deprived of its original, richer appearance during the expansion of the fortress. Passage through this gate was possible until 1866, when it was bricked up. A new Szczebrzeska Gate was not built, as was the case with the new Lubelska and Lwowska Gates, which were built in the 1820s. During this period, it also housed a prison where Walerian Łukasiński (a Polish independence activist and major) was held captive.
In the interwar period, the “Sejmikowy” hotel was located here. Until the 1990s, it housed a police station, and later, for a certain period, the building was unused. Between 2007 and 2009, it underwent a thorough renovation (similar to other parts of the former city fortifications) as part of a project called “Conservation, renovation, and adaptation for cultural purposes of the Old Town fortifications in Zamość”, giving it its current appearance. Since 2012, a wooden footbridge, built as part of another project, has led to the green areas south of the gate.
After the aforementioned renovation works, it became possible to pass through the gate. Among others, the office of the Zamość Economic Subzone and the “Kosz” Jazz Club are located here."
