It's a magical world, Hobbes Ol' buddy .... let's go exploring!

... WIth toboggan, treasure map, and explorer flag ... they're off to adventures!

---

I've built C&H many times, it's one of the few things that I build that brings me such wonderful joy yet anxiety at building such beloved characters. Unlike Sci-Fi where I can't get anything wrong (it's my world dammit!), C&H holds a special place not just my, but many people's hearts.

But when #RogueBrick's 101 theme this week was 'Adventure' ...well there's only one duo I'd give anything to go exploring with.

With an eye for detail and care and never too shy to experiment with new ingredients, Filia is a baker whose pastries are hard to match in the Nine Kingdoms.

Most people would say that Filia's strudel is a delicacy made in heaven but have you tasted her croissants? The latest batch just came out of the oven!

Her bakery is a small workshop, so if the weather permits, Filia and her assistant Rufus prefer to work outdoors. The oven is right around the corner, and so is the storage chamber filled to the brim with various ingredients. Today Ról is stopping by to refill her stock of flour, finely ground by his windmill.

I hope you like the fourth build in my series of castle creations that I started last year. You can find the other models – that are all part of RogueBrick's castle RPG "Nine Kingdoms" – as follows:

- Ról's Windmill

- The Royal Academy

- Rorek's Workshop

Building has been a bit challenging lately but a good conversation with John and the sudden loss of internet at home inspired this little bakery. There's more to come, obviously, but I had to get this one out of the way as it's tower has been taunting me for quite a while already.

As usual many thanks to César and Chris for the vital and helpful feedback and inspiration :)

Let me know what you think! :)

What's hidden inside?

I love puzzles and one puzzle I've always wanted to try building was a Puzzle Box - which a self contained box, which is a puzzle to open ;)

Built for RogueBrick's 101 bricks or less challenge, this week's theme: "Hidden"

I thought this was also so much fun to play with I made instructions - for $1 each (yes I had so much fun I designed a second one!) - 100% proceeds goes to RebelLUG :)

Morning Sewer babies! Just keep going up .....

Built for RogueBrick's use 101 piece challenge - this week the theme is 2 Dimensions... well I'll give you an impossible 2 D picture. ;)

Also might as well double dip with InnovaLUG's Style it up Contest - this week Monochorme!

For this MOC you have to bring a bit of time to properly enjoy it I'm afraid. For a challenge for RogueBrick's Nine Kingdoms castle RPG a couple of weeks ago I wanted to try something different and decided to create a small game in the style of the "Choose Your Own Adventure" books.

I created quite a few different animals for the vignettes that you will encounter throughout the small story and also tried to come up with a couple of different snow techniques, something that gets difficult when you tackle the fifth or sixth one ;) I hope its still up to my "standards" even though it is so different ;)

To fit the flickr format I kept the story simple and short and stripped away the ability to select one of sixteen characters which I had in the original (which you can find here in German).

I hope you decide to play this small game of mine and let me know what you think. How often did you die? Which vignette did you like most? Did you make it all the way to the end?

To start please follow this link to the first vignette or click the links on the image above. Have fun!

(I hope it works for the mobile users, if not I apologize! Flickr has its limitations...)
