Shapes in the sand at black rock sands at Morfa Bychan near Porthmadog on a beautiful afternoon in January.
Au-Natural, no shortage of rock gardens like this in Cornwall, they can be found in lots of places and require no maintenance - this Thyme was quite happy growing along the coast path from Gunwalloe to Poldhu cove………

Percé Rock (French rocher Percé, "pierced rock") is a huge sheer rock formation in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence on the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula in Quebec, Canada, off Percé Bay. Percé Rock appears from a distance like a ship under sail. It is one of the world's largest natural arches located in water and is considered a geologically and historically-rich natural icon of Quebec. It is a major attraction in the Gaspesie region.
On our last day in Cornwall, the clouds parted and the moon shone. I would have stayed there forever.

There is even a couple of stars visible
I also did some lightpainting in the FG
The pacific northwest part of the US once was a very active volcanic region. Many of the landscapes I've posted were in some way created or altered by that activity. (Beacon Rock State Park Area DSC_6691.jpg)
Something I never thought I would see on the Mississippi Delta Railroad, wind mill trains... And my FIRST wind mill train at that. But here we are in 2023, a few years after Rock Island Rail took over operations, and these guys have turned it into a completely different railroad.
It's Friday Morning July 7th, 2023 and Rock Island Rail is taking one of several wind mill trains from the Canadian National interchange at Swan Lake up to Vestas Transload Terminal in Clarksdale, MS. This train being all wind mill towers.
Former BNSF SD38P, (now Rock Island) #1555 lead the first part of the journey from Swan Lake to Sumner, from there Rock Island GP38 #4373 was added to take the train the rest of the way to Clarksdale.
Here the train is seen passing through Webb, MS.
As of 2025, Rock Island Rail no longer operates the Mississippi Delta Railroad.
Magnetic Island is home to a colony of rock wallabies that are apparently thriving currently, having been through hard times. There are good information signs encouraging tourists not to feed them, but also advising what foods are acceptable if they feel they must.
We left them to forage for themselves and to enjoy occasional carrots from tourists, whilst enjoying watching them and taking photographs with the zoom from a distance.
Home tomorrow…. It’s been a fantastic trip.
Original upload switched for the pic I actually wanted to upload…. Fat finger syndrome on the iPad Pro
Flat Rock Cellars on the Niagara Escarpment (Jordan,Ontario) won Gold in the Ontario Wine Awards for their 2015 Gravity Pinot
Noir and also won the prestigious Governor General Award for the the same wine , as the best in all of Canada! Even the famous American wine critic ( Robert Parker's Wine Advocate) rated this wine with the high score of 92!
After some tastings, I walked out on Sunday afternoon buying

Stack Rock Fort.
Dai the Drone was with me while I did some work down in West Wales. Took my lunch at the Sandy Haven Beach car park and Dai took a quick flight out to see the Fort just off the shore.
Another shot of the river running through Pucks Glen, where it travels round some impressive rock slabs.
