Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus died that death for YOU and I. The good news is there no more punishment for sin left, we were and are all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

Tucked in the Eastern Sierras, just south of Mammoth Lakes, is Rock Creek, an amazing hiking/fishing area that begins at an altitude of 10,300, and has an incredible variety of trails, ranging from easy (family friendly) to expert (topping out at 12,000 feet) and all with gorgeous views at every turn.
New Brighton Lighthouse or Perch Rock Lighthouse, is a decommissioned lighthouse situated at the confluence of the River Mersey and Liverpool Bay on an outcrop off New Brighton known locally as Perch Rock. Together with its neighbour, the Napoleonic era Fort Perch Rock, it is one of the Wirral's best known landmarks.
The name comes from a Perch; a timber tripod supporting a lantern, first erected in 1683 as a crude beacon to allow shipping to pass the rock safely. As the Port of Liverpool developed in the Nineteenth Century, the perch was deemed inadequate as it required constant maintenance and only produced a limited light. Construction of the present tower began in 1827 by Tomkinson & Company using blocks of interlocking Anglesey granite using dovetail joints and marble dowels. It was designed to use many of the same construction techniques used in the building of John Smeaton's Eddystone Lighthouse 70 years earlier.[4] Modelled on the trunk of an oak tree, it is a free standing white painted tower with a red iron lantern. It is 29 m (95 ft) tall. It was first lit in 1830 and was in continuous use until decommissioned in October 1973 having been superseded by modern navigational technology.

Rock pools on the way to St Mary's Island, Whitley Bay, near to Newcastle upon Tyne. I saw my first young seal of the year here on Friday morning. Life can be amazing at times.
A shot while walking through the slot canyon during a hike in the Tent Rocks of New Mexico. I thought the light illuminated the canyon well and the subject added scale to the composition.
Three more birds to add which were taken on a walk along the Ushuaia Pier before we boarded the ship to start our amazing trip. Taken in Ushuaia, Argentina. The Rock Shag is similar to our Cormorant.

The matte painting (which can be translated with painting backgrounds) is a technique used mainly in film used to allow the representation of landscapes or places otherwise too costly or impossible to reconstruct or reach directly.

Lots of beautiful "winter wonderland" scenes in Yosemite Valley when I was there during the big snowstorm in mid-February. That big granite peak on the right is Sentinel Rock, all dressed up in winter white, with the Merced River meandering in the foreground.

Big Rock - Okotoks, AB - From our Trip to Southern Alberta a couple of years ago. Trying to remember summer.. (It's a bit chilly out there lately... ;D)
The website for Malibu Creek State Park describes the park like this in its opening paragraph:
Considered the recreational crown jewel of the Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu Creek State Park has over 8,000 acres of rolling tallgrass plains, oak savannahs and dramatic peaks. It's no wonder many call it "The Yosemite of Southern California".
The park was owned by 20th Century Fox from 1946-1974, and portions of classic movies like Planet of the Apes, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, M*A*S*H, and have been filmed in and around here.
Rock Pool is now a place where kids hang out on summer weekends and jump off the cliffs into the water -- even though it's specifically prohibited on signs. This lone tree got some nice afternoon light on it and its reflection was framed nicely by these two rocks in the foreground.
Don't know what this is, and if anyone does, I'd appreciate knowing. It was growing up between the rocks along the shoreline of 13th Lake.

This was a shot taken just before the final Sunset of 2023 at Bonsai Rock in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. While the sky didn't exactly explode with color that evening, I found this moment before sunset to be very beautiful and peaceful.
Something I never thought I would see on the Mississippi Delta Railroad, wind mill trains... And my FIRST wind mill train at that. But here we are in 2023, a few years after Rock Island Rail took over operations, and these guys have turned it into a completely different railroad.
It's Friday Morning July 7th, 2023 and Rock Island Rail is taking one of several wind mill trains from the Canadian National interchange at Swan Lake up to Vestas Transload Terminal in Clarksdale, MS. This train being all wind mill towers.
Former BNSF SD38P, (now Rock Island) #1555 lead the first part of the journey from Swan Lake to Sumner, from there Rock Island GP38 #4373 was added to take the train the rest of the way to Clarksdale.
Here the train is seen passing through Albin, MS.
As of 2025, Rock Island Rail no longer operates the Mississippi Delta Railroad.
