02.21.2011 - If anyone out there plays FPS games or is just looking for a nice mouse and mouse pad combo, I highly recommend the Logitech G500 and the Rocketfish mouse pad. It took me a while to get used to it and to get it properly weighted, but it's improved my game and my work flow.

On a whim, I purchased a diffusion filter (58mm) at Best Buy, manufactured by rocketfish. I tried it out on various shots while here in the park (see Tags). It seems to work okay. An added bonus was that the package contained two step down rings (52 and 55 mm).

no other subject came in mind today other than my 47" tripod. took my sigma tele (non-IS) attempted to shoot hand-hold. the succeeding two pictures were the results.
shot under ambient light cranked ISO to 400.
I went to Best Buy today to look for an inexpensive replacement tripod; I lost the attachment for my old trusty one. I was about to buy a Rocketfish brand, but then I saw this Manfrotto gem just sitting with the displays with a "last one" markdown sticker. Much better choice, and for 30% lower than the one I was going to get, which was the cheapest in the store and nowhere NEAR as good quality as this! Lucky finds, FTW!
