Gehyra robusta and Heteronotia sp. Sybella Creek, Mount Isa, North-west Queensland.

Conocida como palmera de abanico mexicana.

I used to post a lot more iPhone photos than I do now. In fact, that is what really got me into using Flickr. There used to be a large community of "iPhoneographers" here, but it seems like most of them have drifted away. Some have gone to Instagram, some perhaps lost interest.

In any event, here is a lonely tree I saw a few days ago as I was driving from the Dinosaur Point boat launch at San Luis Reservor. Since I was returning from the boat launch, where no one was, I knew there weren't any cars following me, so I just stopped on the road, positioned the setting sun right behind the tree, and made this photo with my phone. Then I processed it with Hipstamatic using Jane Robusta.

At first glance I thought this was a female. It was not until I noticed the spike on each of his palps I realized adult male.

The spike is called an RTA or Retrolateral tibial apophysis . It is not easily seen in this image.

For them that do not know the 2 limbs out front that look like little legs are palps and on males are the reproductive organs.

Some spiders are more obvious than others to see as some can look like a big pair of pom poms!!

A females bits are beneath her abdomen which means palps will be slender and that makes it a challenge for people like myself that know a great deal more about photography than ID'ing spiders.

BUT I am enjoying learning about them.

This one's a little past its prime, with plenty of new leaves appearing already, but the Silky Oaks (Grevilles robusta ) are still conspicuous treescape components in suburban Newcastle.

Grevillea robusta, commonly known as the southern silky oak or silky oak, or Australian silver oak, is the largest species in the genus Grevillea of the familyProteaceae. It is not closely related to the true oaks, Quercus. It is a native of eastern coastal Australia, in riverine, subtropical and dry rainforest environments receiving more than 1,000 mm per year of average rainfall. It is a fast-growing evergreen tree, between 18–35 m (59–115 ft) tall, with dark green delicately dented bipinnatifid leaves reminiscent of a fern frond. It is the largest plant in the Grevillea genus, reaching trunk diameters in excess of 1 m (3 ft). The leaves are generally 15–30 cm (6–12 in) long with greyish white or rusty undersides.

I'm pretty sure this plant is much stronger that it looks. It lives by the Côja creek that runs across the woods of Our Lady of Lourdes (Nossa Senhora de Lourdes)

Springtime bring the Silky Oak into flower which in turn attracts numerous 'honey eater' species of birds who feed off the flowers nectar. The birds move so fast in and out of the branches that I've been unable to take a keeper shot of them so far.

This Australian native tree is the largest member of the Grevilla family growing in height up to 40 metres, which is a worry as it's close to my new home which is in cyclone (hurricane) country!

On a Stone wall of a Bridge,

I found this Frog, He is waiting his food coming automatically,

I love His eye with 2 different color, and make a word "T".

After I start Macro Photography about 2 year,

This is the first time i have chance to take Night Macro Shots.

Tree Frog and Snake shot is hard to get in day time,

But in Night Macro, they are main course.
