Tractors & anvils meeting up near Coyanosa, Texas, May 28th last year. Wished those mammatus bubbles were more robust, but it was still a cool scene. I was musing about that exhaust stack being at face level and had visions of huffing on that as you plow your fields. But better there than at ground level setting everything on fire I guess. (Me + farm equipment = Dunning Kruger farce.)

Title: A frigate and other vessels on a rough sea, 1681
Material: oil on canvas painting
Venue: Speed Art Museum, University of Louisville
The caption on a placque next to the museum painting states: "Look at the heavily-armed frigate in the center, at anchor with its sails set out to dry. It displays a long tricolor flag, indicating that the commander is on board. To its left, a rowboat ferries a dignitary to a finely carved yacht bearing the initials 'VOC' (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie, or Dutch East India Company). As the yacht fires a salute, fishermen in a small rowboat in the foreground watch with curiosity."

Begonias are robust plants; they come in many sizes, colours and leaf shapes, and bear flowers for many months. This Begonia is sure to be an eye catcher with its super bright vibrant colours and silver hues. These plants love partial shade outdoors or bright indirect light indoors. These guys are tropical/sub-tropical so prefer high humidity - dark brown, crisp looking marks on leaf edges are usually caused by low humidity. 20547

Tintoretto (Jacopo Robusti 1519-1594) Saints Helen, Barbara, Andrew, Macarius, another saint and a devout worshipper the cross (1560) size 405x405 cm - Pinacoteca di Brera - Milan
This altarpiece, which once graced the now destroyed church of Santa Croce, was one of the first works to enter Brera. We do not know why Milan ended up hosting a work by a Venetian painter whose links with the Lombard capital were tenuous at best, or indeed who the patron depicted on the right of the altarpiece was. The rather conventional composition is noteworthy chiefly for the meticulous, human portrayal of the patron and of his anonymous patron saint.

The Falcon contains 561 pieces.
The main purpose of this build is to display it on your desk or shelf, so I built an additional all-black stand to securely display the Falcon in an angled position, featuring my own logo.
I designed additional Landing Gear and a removable Landing Ramp to display the Falcon on it's own.
Very important for me was to design the Falcon and display stand in a very sturdy and robust way, so you can really swoosh around the Falcon without having to worry about the stability at any point.

Tintoretto (Jacopo Robusti 1519 - 1594) - theft of the body of St. Mark (1562-1566) oil on canvas 397 x 315 cm - Galleria dell'Accademia - Venice
Thick overpainting had hidden the pyre in the background with an extension of the arcade structure, adding to the confusion over the subject matter, which is sometimes described as “the abduction of the body of Saint Mark”. In fact, it recounts the moment when the Evangelist’s disciples save his body from being burned, thanks to a sudden miraculous hailstorm which sends his persecutors fleeing. The roiling red sky is heavy with stormclouds and the artist suggests flashes of lightning with swift brushstrokes. Foreshortening is used to magnificent effect to depict a large square, resembling Piazza San Marco, where the arcades, with the onlookers and persecutors taking shelter, bear a striking resemblance to those of Sansovino.
Azaras's capuchin or hooded capuchin (Sapajus cay) is a species of robust capuchin. It occurs in eastern Paraguay, southeastern Bolivia, northern Argentina, and Brazil, at Mato Grosso do Sul and Mato Grosso states, in Pantanal. Its habitat consists of subtropical, humid, semi-deciduous, gallery forests and forested regions of the pantanals.
Formerly, it was considered a subspecies of black-striped capuchin, according to Groves (2005) with the name Cebus libidinosus paraguayanus, but Silva Jr. (2001) considered it a separated species. They are considered as frugivores-insectivores which means that their diet mainly consists of a variety of fruits, seeds, arthropods, frogs, small mammals, etc.

This tall, robust, leafless aquatic plant can grow 4 to 5 m (13 to 16 ft) high. It forms a grass-like clump of triangular green stems that rise up from thick, woody rhizomes. Each stem is topped by a dense cluster of thin, bright green, thread-like stems around 10 to 30 cm (4 to 10 in) in length, resembling a feather duster when the plant is young. Greenish-brown flower clusters eventually appear at the ends of the rays, giving way to brown, nut-like fruits.
The younger parts of the rhizome are covered by red-brown, papery, triangular scales, which also cover the base of the culms. Botanically, these represent reduced leaves, so strictly it is not quite correct to call this plant fully "leafless".
Egyptians used the plant (which they called aaru) for many purposes, most famously for making papyrus. Its name in Greek and in English is widely believed to have come from Egyptian. Cyperus papyrus is now used mainly for decoration, as it is nearly extinct in its native habitat in the Nile Delta, where in ancient times it was widely cultivated.
Theophrastus's History of Plants (Book iv. 10) states that it grew in Syria, and according to Pliny's Natural History, it was also a native plant of the Niger River and the Euphrates.
Aside from papyrus, several other members of the genus Cyperus may also have been involved in the multiple uses Egyptians found for the plant. Its flowering heads were linked to make garlands for the gods in gratitude. The pith of young shoots was eaten both cooked and raw. Its woody root made bowls and other utensils and was burned for fuel. From the stems were made reed boats (seen in bas-reliefs of the Fourth Dynasty showing men cutting papyrus to build a boat; similar boats are still made in southern Sudan), sails, mats, cloth, cordage, and sandals. Theophrastus states that King Antigonus made the rigging of his fleet of papyrus, an old practice illustrated by the ship's cable, wherewith the doors were fastened when Odysseus slew the suitors in his hall (Odyssey xxi. 390)
The "rush" or "reed" basket in which the Biblical figure Moses was placed may have been made from papyrus.

Placed in the center of the right wall of the nave, the large canvas, painted by Jacopo Tintoretto in 1559, originally decorated the doors of a large wardrobe for the storage of silverware which in the sixteenth-century church was intended to accompany the one previously painted by Pordenone with the gigantic figures of the saints Martino and Cristoforo, of which Jacopo takes up the architectural layout and the bold compositional structure.

Gehyra robusta. An endemic saxicoline gecko to the Selwyn Range in North-west Queensland. Lake Moondarra, Mount Isa.

L'any 1965 fou declarada Conjunt Historicoartístic (BOE núm. 274 de 16/11/1965).
Body robust with small strongly keeled scales, head large, long slender limbs and a long tail. A spiny crest along the middle of the nape and back. Two spines above the ear opening. Brownish to greenish yellow with blackish streaks radiating from the eyes and brown bands along the back with a whitish stripe on the sides. Sexually dimorphic – adult males are larger with swollen cheeks, and develops an orange head and a black blotch over the cheeks and throat during the breeding season.
