for Flickr Friday theme Droid
At first I wanted to skip the theme due to lack of inspiration. Than I remembered the robot dog of my daughter.
So here is my entry for the theme droid.
In eerste instantie wilde ik het thema overslaan wegens gebrek aan inspiratie. Toen herinnerde ik me de robothond van mijn dochter. Dus hier is mijn inzending voor het thema droid.

Joe feels a bit chilled and he looks down...
sticks...
His new friend is bringing him sticks.
Joe has an idea.
A small, quadrupedal robot, designed to carry medical supplies into dangerous areas.
There are a few more images to be found here: www.instagram.com/p/DK2WeqdisEs/?img_index=1
Joe sits down under an apple tree and sighs.
This looks like a good place to stay a while.
Anywhere was better than where either of them came from.
Dog agrees. It smells nice, it is warm.
Joe turns on his radio to see what if he can pick up anything from his old world.
Dog eyes the steak on the stick....
'Robot pet' by Stephane Halleux, seen at the Steampunk Exhibition at the Museum of the History of Science, Oxford. Considering it's made of nuts and bolts it's surprisingly 'cute'.
Pink and her robot dog Pip have dreams of never working for handlers again and some day living in a beautiful place they only dream of.
Robots don't sleep but they do have down time.
Suddenly Pip wakes her from her Regeneration Time and....they look out at the world....
Imaginext figure from the Series 8 blind bags. His helmet and chest armor don’t come off but he has a robot police dog.
I found him at a local grocery store in the Seasonal aisle. They were selling them as gifts to go in Easter Baskets.
That’s how I got my first Imaginext figure in 2014
New print. No one gets it. I thought it was pretty obvious what was going on here.
Note: I ended up using different paper and sparkly ink for the prints so I changed the photo out. Please vote for this on Threadless. See the link below in the comments.
Elektro was a robot built by Westinghouse Electric for the 1939-1940 New York World's Fair. There was no human hiding inside Elektro. He worked through vacuum tubes, motors, and pulleys.

The Milky Way is the galaxy that contains our Solar System. Its name “milky” is derived from its appearance as a dim glowing band arching across the night sky in which the naked eye cannot distinguish individual stars. The term “Milky Way” is a translation of the Latin via lactea, "milky circle". From Earth, the Milky Way appears as a band because its disk-shaped structure is viewed from within. Galileo Galilei first resolved the band of light into individual stars with his telescope in 1610. Up until the early 1920s, most astronomers thought that all of the stars in the universe were contained inside of the Milky Way. Following the 1920 Great Debate between the astronomers Harlow Shapley and Heber Curtis, observations by Edwin Hubble definitively showed that the Milky Way is just one of many billions of galaxies.

He has that cute, upturned snout,
that's why we call him SNOOTY.
Other than that... he's just a regular guy!
This dog follows a magnetic walking cane.
Simply hold the cane in front of .the dog's
nose and it will follow the cane.

The version of the robot dog from the Fourth Doctor set. He's slightly different from the other one I have - he's silver grey instead of a metallic blue, the control panel on his back is more detailed (as is the screen in his side) and, sadly, he doesn't have the pop off panel which shows his inner workings..

He's not sleeping, he's doing surveillance.
You'll need to walk over him, he's not getting up.
Venice Beach, California. We took my 99+ year old mother on a "wheelchair" stroll down memory lane. Neither of us had walked along the walkway at Venice Beach in 30 years so it was time to see what it was all about.
To sum: we both loved it. I thought she'd fall asleep but she gawked at all the people,(so did I), the vendors selling crap, and scrunched her nose up every time we walked by someone smoking "medicinal marijuana" or wearing a bit too much patchouli oil.
Time warp for sure.
This was a standoff between a little white robot dog which was bucking and barking and a little white live dog who was, well, bucking and barking at it. A crowd gathered and between the action and the shadows it was crying out for a picture.

- Prior to those more famous experiments in electricity,
Tesla was most fond of steam energy.
This little critter was designed to be a watchdog robot.
Not very interested in her prescribed duties,
she would just meander around the house in loops till she ran out of steam.
Consequently, they called her: LOOPY - Mister Tesla's Terrier
