Right, after reading his BIO I had a little think and came up with this.
Arnim Zola, after realizing that the chest pains and shortness of breath were being caused by putting his brain in his chest were his heart and lungs are, decided to go for the robot body approach. An evil scientist who is clearly insane Arnim Zola is as much a danger to himself as anybody else. With his new robot body he now has more then the strength and speed of a human athlete, unfortunately so do his opponents and they have the advantage of not being of there mind bug-eyed crazy, so he’s still screwed. ‘I mean come on… putting you brain in your chest that’s just stupid. If he wanted to protect his brain why didn’t he just put some kind of helmet on?’ that’s the kind of thing that both heroes and villains say behind his back.
