I sketched this little guy in pencil first then coloured him with Derwent watercolor pencils. These pencils are the best thing ever! You colour in the area you wish to paint in the desired colour(s) and run a wet brush over it afterwards. They give wonderful results wihtout the hassle of and mess of painting.

Yes, I do draw things that aren't robots. Sometimes. Totally.
