Little remains legible on this pre-motorway era post, other than London being 79 miles distant from here in the south of Swindon.

Make sure you stop when you see this sign.

The first or last road sign you come across depending on your direction of travel.November 25 2009.

This sign remains standing only because the woodworm are holding hands.

This fairly new sign ,is very similar to the original one, on the south side of town. But it has a very different flower arrangement.

Always good to see an old set of road signs.

I left home this afternoon for the first time in a week. The roads, the shops were empty - no tourist buses, no tourists, nothing - even the "s" was missing from Chestnuts
