I took a few shots of these little falls... then a few shots more... when you get a nice scene, you cannot help yourself... just changed the angle..

Autumn serves up a reminder on the River Nene near Wansford station (Wansford village is some distance away).
This fall is most inaccessible in a very steep sided wooded gorge. It about 3 metres high and only a couple of hundred yards from where the stream enters Hury Reservoir.
There is a higher fall further up the valley under the road bridge (How Gill Bridge) but so far have not been able to access it!!
With a patch of sunlight through the dense woodland.
This waterfall on East Gill upstream of Ash Force is both unnamed and unmarked on the OS 1:25000 map.
East Gill joins with West Gill at the small village of Cotterdale to form Cotterdale Beck.

Not long after spotting a three-master in the mist off the shore of Portobello (see here - www.flickr.com/photos/woolamaloo_gazette/48457187057/in/d... ) I spotted another tall ship just off the coast as I was strolling to work one morning. Almost certainly another pirate raiding expedition, in my humble opinion (or imagination, really)
Walking along the beach at Musselburgh, spotted these two wee boys dangling from the harbour wall and clambering along it. Kids really are pretty much monkeys! I think their parents would have given them hell if they spotted them though, they were pretty high up (over twice their own height), enough to hurt if they slipped, but that's not what's in your mind as a kid.
North Parade Bridge, narrowboat 'Snowy Owl' and some golden autumn trees all reflecting in the River Avon at Bath.
Some improvised night shots around The Shore - was going to an event, so I didn't have the tripod with me, but decided to try some pics as I walked, so sat the camera on some railings on the bridge to get a steadier platform.
Obviously it reduces the possibilities - unlike the tripod with its wee gimbal on top, I can't move the camera around for angles etc, it's restricted, but still, for an improvised set of shots it's not too bad, and it just looked too nice not to try and take some pics.

Had an Amazing fotoshooting with the beautiful Lady Petya from Hamburg.
I waited for the wheel to move so that I could get motion blur, but, I was surprised that there was no movement at all during the time I was waiting for my bus home - does anyone know why it was not working then - late afternoon, on a Saturday?
Another thing that I had not really noticed before was that the colours of the lighting at County Hall (Don't know its current name) change from green through to blue
RAW image with Ricoh GX100 with camera on beanbag on a wall, converted to TIFF with Paint Shop Pro as Nikon Capture NX2 does not recognise Ricoh RAW, then adjustments and cropping done using NX2 control points, and selective sharpening done to wheel only

There was no Polderbaan and no A5 Autoroute on its north-south alignment back in 2000.
Rather lucky spot from my local supermarket. It looked in rather good condition considering its age and the type of car it is. It was driven by an elderly gentleman. He has owned it since December 2000. Plz comment
To the left, the land is the Isle of Sheppey - the sun is setting over the Thames Estuary and Essex.
I don't usually do local sunsets as when you have seen one, you have seen them all, but this was a better than normal, so this is my ration for the year!
To avoid burning out the highlights, I metered on the area above the sun, and by using RAW, I was able to bring up the light on the shingle, another good reason to use RAW files!
